Riu Caribe All-Inclusive, Cancun

Love this hotel and its' location. Weather could have been a little better but the staff of the hotel certainly made up for a few clouds here and there. Very organized, except for check in the wait too long, but the food, service and placement of the bars and food stations were great. Also enjoyed the yoga on the beach.

Mediocre place, not a 5-star or 4-star quality. Had to unplug the fridge in our room each night to sleep. Front desk staff were very unhelpful. We didn't even have bedding in our room when we arrived.

we like to go back becase of this trip experience and all the staff is excellent and the lagon travelers. in airport service they are in time and very helpful and the food ,drinks and night time actives is very fun thankyou rinapatel from orlando

All was perfect. Did not like location of room 426, but what the hey, we only sleep there.

Everything about Riu Caribe is great. Starting from great prices to nice, clean rooms and pleantiful activities. There is always something to do and the open bar and the Meal Buffets are worth the price itself. Highly Reccomended.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The room and balcony were a little small but was very clean. The beds were very hard. Service was excellent. Staff very friendly. Food was just ok. Shopping is just a short taxi ride away. Buses are available if preferred. For the price and being an all inclusive hotel I would definitely recomend it.

My wife and I just got back from RIU Caribe. We spent the week there and loved it. The resort is older but alot of the other resorts are just as old. The staff was great. They were polite, helpful, and never pressured us into anything. They were there if we needed them. The room was very clean and we had the JR Suite and loved the balcany view and the room was big enough. We could not specify a king size or full size bed when we booked the room, so when we saw the beds were 2 full sizes, we called down to the front desk and asked them to make the two beds into one and within 5 mins they came to our room and joined the two beds ito one and fitted the sheats to fit. The room was serviced and cleaned everyday. We let the maids know when we left the room if they were in the hallway and they cleaned our room after we left at noon. The beach was good. Pleanty of chairs to choose from. We stayed on the beach most of the time and not the pool because, we came to see the beach not a pool. If we wanted to lay by a pool we would have stayed home. We came to Cancun for the beach, ocean view, and a getaway from life and this fit us perfect. Not to mention this was our Honeymoon. Food is very expensive outside the hotel so get the all inclusive package. Sure the buffet food is bland, but when a person cooks for hundreds of people per day, 3 meals a day, you have to make it bland to suit everyone. Thats why they make salt and pepper shakers. They only serve Pepsi products. No Coke, Sprite, DrPepper, Mountan Dew, or RC Cola. But I love Pepsi too. For the money you cant go wrong.

I thought our room was clean and the whole property was well maintained for an older resort. The staff worked hard to make the stay a good one. It's a great value and we had a great time. Also, I was there with my 18 year old daughter for her graduation trip and there were plenty of fun things for her to enjoy too. She had a great time with people her age and we felt safe and comfortable.

The Riu Caribe is a beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The dining room and food were excellent. We felt very taken care of by all the people there. However... The beds were pretty much like sleeping on plywood with sheets. When we arrived (very late at night) they put us in a room with two double beds when my reservation was for a king. When I requested a change they told me that I would have to wait 3 nights before we could move. Very disappointing for my husband and I to have to squeeze into a double bed or sleep separately. Really didn't help with the romance of a Caribbean vacation. Then, in order to change rooms, we would have to pack all of our things and have them in the lobby by 10:30 a.m. We would then have to leave all of our belongings in the lobby until 3 p.m. (check in time) to be placed in another room. It wasn't worth the hassle to us for one night. We were VERY disappointed that there were no waiters available at the pool or at the beach. If you wanted a drink you had to go get it yourself. This was a huge hassle if you were on the beach because you had to hike up a large flight of stairs to get to the one bar by the pool. The cups were so small (and they would only serve you one drink at a time) that you would need another drink by the time you got back to the beach. This was unacceptable to us. Overall, my husband and I agree that we will not be staying at any Riu hotel again.

I just got back from mexico and we stayed at the riu caribe and i can honestly say that i miss the staff and the resort. It was such a wonderful experience, and the entertainment staff did a extremely good job in keeping everyone entertained, fun and games went on from morning till evening at the resort, and then went on for us :D as the night went on.. such as the clubs.. the food was great, i am a very picky eater but i will have to say that they always had something that i liked..the staff was incredibly kind and i would recommend this place to everyone.. i will definately be going back to riu caribe.. where they say ...what happens in cancun * stays in cancun... cuz nobody knows you and nobody cares ..lol
