Riu Caribe All-Inclusive, Cancun

My family and I went to the Riu Caribe in March for a week and had a great time. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The hotel seems to be a bit older but is not falling apart or anything. The staff was excellent and went out of their way for us. We just had to call downstairs to have our fridge restocked with beer and soda. We were very happy with the variety of food. The water sports were available just as advertised and we went snorkeling several times. The hotel is a little further from the airport than we've stayed before and is on the north beach so you are facing the Isla las Mujeres. I would definitely go back.

We have stayed at this Hotel twice. In our opion, this is the best hotel in the hotel zone for small children. The hotel is along the north beach which does not get the ruff waves or currant that the east beaches do. Our 5yr old granddaughter could could play in the ocean without being knocked over by the waves. All the rooms have a great view of the Ocean and great cleaning service. The resturants are very clean with great meals prepared. And the nightly entertainment has something for every body of all age groups. We will pick this hotel anytime we take our grandchild to Cancun

We had a good time. The pool entertainment staff were fun & friendly. Food was good with some variety on choice. Overall, not a Five Star Resort but if you are looking for a nice resort at a good price, this is it.

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the Riu Caribe in Cancun. We would definitely go back. Beach, pool, food and drinks were great. The Jr. Suite was one of the best if not the best room we ever had on vacation.

I'm sure that there are better hotels but for the money and service this was a fantastic deal. We booked during the Swine Flu scare and got a super rate! Food is okay, but hey, it's an all-inclusive. The beach and water was really clear, but the pool was about 105º!!! I would recommend bringing a giant plastic beer mug to avoid the shot glass size cups they give you. I would definitely stay here again.

We took our family to this resort expecting much more than they had to offer. Upon arrival we were very disappointed in our room size and the beds were not what we had requested in our reservation. I promptly went to request an upgrade even if we had to pay more and they could not or would not accomadate us. The "manager" said that they had over booked for that week and never even offered to move us to another Riu hotel. Also our A/C in our room never cooled properly the entire time we were there and they came to work on it one night at 11:00 pm. As far as the food was concerned it was also not that great espcially for children. I can say the best thing about this hotel was the beach. It was great, probably the best part of our stay. We feel that they totally misrepresent themselves in their ads for this hotel. They even went so far as to tell us and some other guests with the same room issues, that they do not have king beds or rooms with sofas and sitting areas, although we met some other guest that did have these things. All together we made the best of our vacation but I want everyone to know that may be considering staying here to make sure you are getting what you expect for your money.

Why havent i went sooner?? For my first all inclusive i stayed at the riu caribe and i must say im so glad i did. It was amazing, the hotel was clean and the staff was great special note for the entertainment crew (amazing!!) The food was great, if you couldnt find something to eat you have problems and the breakfast was everything you could ask for. The pool was always clean and the beach except for some seaweed and a few rocks in the sand was clean aswell. The staff was good very helpful and the drink selection was exceptional. The entertainment crew definatly topped my vacation off. Starting at 10am till for some 2am is crazy and the games/shows and bar scene activities available was well beyond what i expected. I would definatly recommend it for others and was worth the time and money cause i got all i could ask for an well beyond. Only negative i had was having to leave :(...... Special thanks to Dahlia and the rest entertainment crew, cant say enough good things...."Big Bear" definatly hated leaving

ok i just got back from mexico and i stay here because of all the good reveiws... people please be more real.. the check in workers are rude,, the food is every day the same.... the rooms need update and if you tip good and i mean good like 10 to 20 dollards a time you don't have to wait in line like at 6 am to get into the 3 resturants they have... but yet the worker told me that's not true that you don't have to tip what a lie!!!!!! the shows are the worst all the same only one show was good i was there for 8 full days and after the 4 i was ready to go home, staff only talk to who tips them better. please please be aware things go missing there like sunglass, camers, and everything else they can get there hands on!!!!! the phone cuts your calls and if you use an outside calling card they charge 5 dollards every time to connect... i went to them because of that and they walk away from me!!!!!!!! the worst worst place in the world!!!!!!!!!

From check-in, to the helpful staff, to restaurants and food, the relaxing pools everything was PERFECT. This all inclusive hotel was what my honey and I needed to relax. Yes, we do recommend and is worth the money. Going back in 6mths. Papo and LaLa
