The Worst Hotel on Earth!!!
The prices of the rooms are ridiculous given how unreliable they are. My families room keys malfunctioned several times, the cable box on our TV did not work, the lights in the bathroom burnt out twice and they use a very heavy starch on the bedsheets, it felt like we were sleeping on sandpaper.
The staff is incredibly rude particularly the hotel owner Jim who belittled us based on our complaints and would not dignify them with a response.
The Water Park was the best part and was fun with a ton to offer, however some of the guards were terrible. There were two, the supervisor and this really cool guy with long hair and a beard and a hat that were attentive, all the other guards seemed offended to be their. The guards weren't watching the pool and I had to run in after my 5 year old or she would have drowned, thank goodness the long haired fellow was good and really helpful and kind or else I would have told them all off.
Front desk was also offensive, dishing out insults, bickering and having their front desk manager hide from us in his office while I stood there wanting to confront him for literally 45 minutes, professional my butt, the front desk people need to stop acting like children.
The restaurant was expensive and the food was mediocre at best, my son even complained of stomach pains after eating one of their burgers.
Long story short if you want to deal with rooms that make a decrepit shack feel like a 5 star experience, rude owners, rude staff, unattentive lifeguards, expensive food and possible food poisoning for about 500$ then by all means go to the Americana, the worst Hotel on Earth.
