Wonderful Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/11
I stayed at the Guesthouse for a few days while my husband was a patient at the Cleveland Clinic. The room was clean, the bed was confortable, and it was in a great location to walk to the Clinic everyday (or take the shuttle). Only complaint is the elevator, it is slow and jerks when in motion. However, because most of the people staying at the Guesthouse are the family member's of Cleveland Clinic patients, weekly or discounted rates would be helpful. However, I would recommend the Guesthouse to anyone that needs a place to stay a few nights while their family member is in the Cleveland Clinic. Also, the hotel is attached to a wonderful deli that provides a nice continetal breakfest (mostly cold items).

Never again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/11
This hotel is an over price Ronald McDonald house! Housekeeping only cleans 3 times a week and never remembers to leave towels or washcloths at the same time. The housekeeper made me very nervous but you could always find her...in the same occupied room everyday, all day with the door closed. I am not a fan of the green towels they use because I want to know they are being bleached, and these towels made me wonder if they were even being washed. Maintenance was horrible. We had to call them several times because the faucet handle kept falling off so we had no hot water. The elevator took longer to get to the second floor then it would have taken me to get to the airport on foot! There is black mold on the ceiling of the second floor. We stayed there because the location was perfect. But my daughter will be out of the hospital tomorrow and has to stay in town for a couple days before she's allowed to fly home, and we are definitely changing hotels!

Don't expect much.
By Scott, 9/6/11
Guests are treated like an interruption of TV time. Cleanliness is suspect and maintenance on our room was obviously not done. Not worth the price

A good experience after all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/3/11
Convenience to Hospital and Doctors. I thougth I lost my chargers for my my compuer and cell phone and visited the front desk daily to check and see if they had been turned in. I had to order all new wires at a considerable cost. However I should have listened to the young lady with the scarf at the front desk when she asked if I had check my luggage. I thought I had, but I hadn't. I returned home and unpacked my computer bag and on one side their was a lump. Yes, it was my chargers. My apologies to all the personnel at the hotel who I questioned daily and did searches for me. I sincerely apologize and thank you for your kindness. Tony Bellotte, Rm 215

Excellent location for Clinic services
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/10
After reading the reviews I was concerned about staying at the C.C. Guest House but not anymore. The person at the desk was very friendly and even offered to let me inspect the room prior to signing in. After a careful inspection I found the room to be suitable for my one night stay. The room was comfortable and clean. It's not the Ritz but it was fine for my night stay with my wife and two kids. My wife left her toothbrush and the desk clerk had one delivered to my room. The lobby was comfortable and they even played light jazz. The light breakfast was also suitable for our needs. The best part was the shuttle which ran every 15 minuites and took us directly to the clinic. Parking, breakfast and shuttle was free. The price was fair considering what the other choices were for the campus. All in all I would stay there again.

MAYBE??
By Gloria, 12/7/10
I stayed here 12/3/10-12/4/10. During the night the hotel lost all electrical power for atleast 3 hrs. I became very nervous and stayed in my room. There was no generator to reboot power for atleast phone communication with staff. The next morining I tried to comminicate with Cindy, who was extremely unprofessional & rude. No compensation was offered. She stated it was not the hotel fault. She should not be at the front desk. All other staff was great! Please fix or replace ice machine on 4th floor. My room was clean and smelled fresh.Worth the money . My name : Eric T. Carter 2100 Raccoon Rd #21 Youngstown, Oh 44515. Please respond through email or a letter. Thank you for your time.

ACCEPTABLE
By Scott, 3/23/10
The hotel is convenient (right across the street). The staff us helpful, and they do offer a light breakfast of yogurt, Danish, muffins, an assortment of cold cereal, coffeee, tea, and 2% milk as well as OJ. Yes, the carpets are older and the room decor dated, but there is a mini fridge and rooms avaialble with a microwave/2-burner stove for a little extra. Air conditioning is essentially non-existent, but the window does open. Be careful because it had no screen in it, and a young child could conceivably fall/get pushed out in my opinion. We were permiited to park there before checking in while we went to the clinic, and to park there a while after checking out. There is a muslim prayer room, but none for other faiths---I don't know, maybe someone/group sponsors it at their own expense, but it would have been a thoughtful touch for others to have been available. The rate was reasonable, but the TAXES are not. I was unpleasantly surprised by the sales tax, county tax, and city taxxes that abounted to about 13-15% (I think). Free shuttle buses come and go at fairly regulat intervals, but walking distance is quite near. The room was clean. The Guest house was a god-send for us and it served our purpose well. Would I book it for a vacation as a resort? Not likely.

So Convenient!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/09
I stayed at the Cleveland Guesthouse for 2 weeks during my husband's surgery and recovery at Cleveland. What a blessing to have lodging just across the street at the Guesthouse. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The free parking and breakfast were a bonus. The room was very adequate and comfortable. The night shuttle was a safe, short, and convenient ride back from Clinic in the late evening. Would definitely stay there again.

Positive experience
By Susan F, 9/13/09
When I read the previous review, I thought they had to be talking about a different hotel. I was there during the same period, and had a very positive experience. Now it isn't the Ritz, but our room was clean and adequate. Our wait for the elevator was never more than a few minutes. The staff was very friendly to us. For the convenience, and security, I wouldn't stay anyplace else for our Clinic trips.

Very satisfied
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/09
After reading some negative reviews, we almost didn't stay there. Am glad we did: most convenient, very accommodating at check-in desk, room was good. Elevators were a little old, though. Nice camaraderie with other patients' families staying there.
