We had reservations here and when we checked in Iwe were told we were at the wrong location, (Inn, Courtyard share the same parking lot), so we thanking the gentleman and went a cross the way to the other building only to find out that we, again, didn't have the right location and, again, had to travel back to the other hotel, the young lady did call a head to inform the other of this mistake and we checked in. We were to have a gift with directions in our room but of course there was not. When we went back down to the lobby to inquire about the instructions he had not idea what we were talking about. After several minutes of conversation, he finally remembered and went in the back to retrieve these items. In the room, the thermostat did not work, the windows did not open, there was no fan in the bathroom, there were maybe six channels to choose from on the T.V. and all but one were sports, half of the phone book was missing, the desk chair was broken as well as the coffee table, but when check out time is noon, shouldn't your key card work till that time?
Spent 4 days here with family in the room next door. Bed was awesome. Took grandkids to pool...clean but not a warm as I would have liked it (for an indoor pool). Really need to provide refrigerators and microwaves in all rooms. Got a refrigerator on request but this should be a given. No free breakfast...charges $6.95 to eat there. Can't complain for $50 night from Priceline.
All I heard at night was slamming doors. People wrote their initials in the scum on the tile around the pool. The pool was not heated. There was garbage and cigarette butts outside my suite. The "Courtyard"area was not maintained, and the ashtrays not emptied. My bathroom had pink mold all over the floors. On a Monday night partyers came crashing in a 2:15 am above my room and made noise for an hour. The dials on the fan in my room were all broken off and it ran nonstop no matter what the temp. The front desk ignored me twice for at least 5 minutes even with inquiring nicely if anyone was there! The building looks nice from the pictures but is not being well maintained.
Love the look of the place and the linens can't be beat. The indoor pool and hottub are what keep me coming back though. Only downers are the room has no microwave or refrig. Also, you must drive to get anywhere. Would like this hotel transplanted downtown.
Everyone was friendly, helpfull, rooms were clean, breakfast was good, workout area and pool clean .Liked getting paper in morning. Grounds kept very clean. Would go back next year for the races and stay here.
I often travel to the North Valley for work and find myself in hotles approx 5-7 nights a month. Within the Redding/Chico area I have stayed in all of the hotels and find this one the best. The other popular hotel in Chico is the Oxford Suites. Oxford is in a better location for shopping/dining, however, is not nearly as clean as this hotel. Courtyard is only approx a 5 minute drive to the mall and various restaurants. Great Staff here as well!!
The place was new and had some typical bugs to work out.
The rooms were clean and new. The courtyard is consistant and this was no diffeenet.
Would recommend staying at the hotel. We had a group of rooms that we blocked out for a party. They were great and helpful to all.
