Courtyard by Marriott Lancaster, Lancaster

The room was clean and nice, but we were in room 228 and the sink would stop up, we told them at least 3 times but no maintenance man ever came by to fix it and this was after 3 days. The Breakfast Buffet was reasonable and very good for $9.95 and all you can eat, they do eggs but we wanted once over but it is probably best to get the scrambled. Pool is okay but small, good for small kids. Workout Room is small and adequate, has a tv in it. Staff is very good and helpful, except for the maintenance. The online service is good and have 3 computers, does not have sound, but can print out what need.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be very outgoing. One lady behind the desk spent two hours chatting with my 78 year old grandmother. You really get a good sense of hospitality. In regards to cleanliness, I would say a perfect 10! My family usually stays at the Willow Valley Resort, however no rooms were available for that weekend. We found this Courtyard by Marriott to be just as good, if not better :-)

We truly enjoyed staying in such a clean, hospitable hotel. Our room was spacious and perhaps the cleanest of any hotel room we have stayed in (rivaling Disney resorts quality). The indoor pool, though a bit small, was great (our 10 year old loved it). The exercise room was nice as well. The only addition we might suggest would be a continental breakfast. We will stay there again on our next trip to Lancaster.

This hotel seemed to be geared more toward the business traveler but I stayed with my wife and two kids because we could not find a vacancy anywhere else (we booked very last minute). It is 10 minutes from Dutch Wonderland. We Stayed July 23-26, 2006. The hotel is new and obviously very clean for that reason. Over all a very good experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Free wireless Internet access was nice too. Two things to note. 1) We stayed in room 324 and all of us (including my 2 and 3 year old) were awoken at 4 am sharp when the garbage truck was slamming the garbage bin into the truck. Not fun. 2) Because the hotel is new, Hospitality drive is also new, therefore it does not show up on the navigational system or yahoo maps. We called the hotel and the address 1845 Hempstead put us right in front of the hotel.

We had a party of 8 girls stay at this hotel after doing research on other hotels. We were so very pleased with every aspect of this place. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. The lounge was inviting and bright. The staff was excellent and friendly. The buffett breakfast was delicous. I felt like I was staying in a resort rather then a hotel and for the price is was well worth it. We felt very welcome here and are planning on returning in the fall.
