This hotel raised their nightly rates by $100.00 when the evacuees from Hurricane Katrina started to arrive in the area. When asked why the manager stated that they do this during any hurricane. She stated that it helps to weed out people that may have cause them trouble with the bill later.
Some of these people have lost almost everything they have and now the management of this hotel is trying to take what little they have left.
This hotel in no way reflects the views of the people of the Baytown area. The evacuees were welcomed with open arms.
