Courtyard by Marriott Berlin City Center, Berlin

My main impressions were that the Courtyard by Marriott was extremely clean, the staff was very accommodating and friendly, and it was in walking distance to major points of interest. Some additional details: - We made arrangements through Priceline for 3 persons per room, but the hotel was only notified of a 2 person per room reservation. The front desk staff facilitated the correct arrangements without question - Only smoking rooms were available, but you would never know they were smoking. However without even mentioning anything, someone came up to spray a special deodorizer. - We had personal confusion with the in-room safes and a staff member personally came up within 5 minutes to assist us with opening it, and as always was extremely courteous and friendly. - The underground parking was clean, easily accessible, and safe - The rooms were well appointed and the housekeeping staff was wonderful - The only negatives I could think of would be those that you would still deal with in a more expensive hotel (paying for in-room internet, fairly expensive restaurant, etc.) - This is a great place to stay and was far superior than some 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in.

visited Berlin for 3 nights in July and had one of my best stays ever in a hotel. Traveling a lot I see many hotels.This is one of the finest. Quick check early in the morning.The non smoking room ready was for me and they provided me with the pre ordered allergic free room(nice wooden floor). I also liked the free coffee facilities in the room as well as the free water in the fridge. Nice breakfast buffet Large selection of different items. Buffet space is more than adequete Not crowded at all. Extremly friendly service. Free espresso or cappucino I especially liked the muesli. For 14 Euros the price seems fair I had dinner once which also was great. homemade limonade delicious tuscan bean soup but the best was the tuna steak. It was the best I ever tasted It comes medium grilled with rosmary potatoes. Hotel room was very clean. Bathroom is fine could be bigger but for the price paid, it is fair. Nice shop next to reception for sandwiches, drinks,sweets,choclate bars,etc. It is allways open,so I could buy me a "good night beer" at 2 o�clock at night after a beautyfull evening out in Berlin. What a vibrating city it is. Overall: great value for money, perfect place to stay I will be a regular from now on.

Its not a complete full service hotel but is very close. A restaurant and bar on site and many other places to eat and enjoy Berlin within close walking distance make this a very nice place to stay. They are often close to being full or fully booked so if you want a reasonable hotel within the city center its well worth booking early.
