Holiday Inn Express Mcdonough, McDonough

Enjoyed my stay. The food was great, front desk agents lovely and breakfast was wonderful. I saw a pool but did not go in as I was too tired after being on the road all day. I'm not sure what hotel Allen E. stayed at. The General Manager of this hotel is a woman. She checked me out in the morning and was very helpful with directions and things to do in Savannah. It is my belief that Allen E. stayed at another hotel and should avoid reviewing anything in the future! My ONLY issue with the hotel was getting out in the morning. Traffic was crazy but that isn't the hotel's fault. The DOT needs to do something.

These folks don't act typical of southerners. The General Manager acted as if my staying in his hotel was a priviledge of his and not one of providing good quality service. Unknown to him, I was reviewing hotels for a future venue that would have need every room in his hotel. Alas, now his competitors will get my business. Heed this warning, stay some other place than here.

An unexpected death brought us into town. The funeral home referred us to the hotel. Upon our arrival a two ladies were out front looking at the new flowers being planted. They both offered to help us with our luggage. Their warm smiles helped us that day. The room was clean and beautifully done. The breakfast bar was great. The front desk staff was wonderful. I have a touch of insomnia and it didn't matter what time I came down I was greeted with a smile. They definitely made our uncomfortable trip as comfortable and relaxing as possible. A special thanks to Drew for recommending the downtown restaurants. Ms. Betty for helping us old folks with the air conditioner. Ms. Tita and Ms. Gabriela in the breakfast bar, thanks for helping me get going in the morning! I hope to return to McDonough again under better circumstances.

In the process of my trying to locate a venue for an event that I am planning, someone informed that the Holiday Inn Express in McDonough, GA is a new and beautiful location. I live in the area so I thought....this would be a perfect location for my event. For the past three weeks, I have been attempting to reach the Event Manager to discuss reserving a meeting room at the location. For the initial attempt, I visited the location and she was not there. Furthermore, each time I have called, she is never there. I recorded three voicemail messages and she did not return any of my calls. This type of behavior is very unprofessional and inconsiderate for a business that is SUPPOSED to be so reputable! Some people do not deserve the job titles that they have, if they cannot provide quality customer service and display professionalism! This location needs to reevaluate some of the people that you hired for management positions!

My family and I stopped by the hotel on a whim. There was just too much traffic on I-75 to continue on for the night. The front desk people were just too awesome for words. A lady named Tasha helped me and my family get settled in for the night. She was gracious and very engaging. There was a new girl training that was so energetic--kept a HUGE smile on her face the entire time we were checking in. The rooms were the cleaniest I've ever stayed at. I loved the beds!!!! The pillows were so good I had to buy one from the front desk the next morning!!! I was willing to take the one from the room but the Front Desk Manager insisted that I get a brand new one!!!! We were only going to stay for one night but we ended up staying four nights!! The housekeepers were so nice and the breakfast in the morning---delicious! We have already reserved our rooms for our return trip home. I plan on ONLY staying at this property during my trips between south GA and TN!!!! Yeah, the room costs more but oh the value you get! I've stayed at all of the other hotels in the area and each are priced for exactly what you get and nothing more-if you are lucky you feel you got your value at some of these cheap junkie hotels. The Holiday Inn Express McDonough is the best by far. If you don't stop there you should just head on into Atlanta or wait until Macon depending on your direction.

Due to our car breaking down, we needed to find a place to stay while driving through GA. We lucked into this hotel and were very pleased. The rooms were clean, the staff helpful, and the kids liked the pool.

I've stayed at HIE across the country and this one takes the cake. The front desk staff was awesome and housekeeping was outstanding. If I could have my way I'd be typing this from their bed rather than from work! Heavenly is all I can think! As for the other reviewer that didn't like the property, come on. It is an interstate property. I would guess they have people trying to use their facility for free often. They have to be careful. I would suggest calling a reservation hotline next time!!!!! Besides, wouldn't you have been upset if you were a paying guest and couldn't use the computer because a non-guest was using it?!? Yeah, I think you would.

My family and I stopped at this HI Express on 4/14/06. This was an unplanned stop so I didn't have the GSA rate for the Atlanta area. After the guest service clerk, Jennifer, quoted me a room rate I asked if I could use the business center to check the area GSA rate. She said that the business center was for hotel guest only. I stated I realized that but I needed to check regarding a potential stay there and that I was also a Priority Gold member. I absolutely could not believe that she insisted that I couldn't use the business center for all of about 10 seconds for this. Needless to say, this HI Express did not get my business and I left and stayed at competitor hotel which knows what good customer service means. This is absolutely the worst customer service from HI I have ever experienced in my life. Absolutely, unbelievable!
