By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/20/06
we came back 01/07/06 it was a very relaxing holiday, very friendley staff, had better food but that is egypt, large comfortable rooms,on the beech that is a bit pebbley, you need shoes to go into the water, the hotel shop is very expensive 9 for water shoes,we got some in Sharma for 3 & cigs what they have are expensive, cheaper at the airport.but it was a loveley hotel.entertainment a bit repetative but funny. We would go back there for sure.

great for a relaxing holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/15/06
we visited this hotel july 06.hotel very clean. Our room on allocation was on top floor overlooking the hotel next door which is been built at the moment. we asked to be moved and there was no problem and we were given a room overlooking the pool which was wonderful. The hotel is very remote but we new this so wasnt a problem. Cant fault the hotel apart from the evening entertainment which is poor. The beach could be cleaner though which is a shame because the snorkelling is amazing. A word of warning dont be nosy like us and visit the closed down hotel next door it is very spooky. All in all had a wonderfull relaxing holiday and the staff are wonderfull very friendly.

Highly recommended
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/29/06
We had a fantastic 2 week holiday at the Holiday Inn, Taba for 2 weeks in April. It is a quieter hotel but that's what we wanted even though we have 3 boys. Location isn't great if you want to visit the pyramids or Petra since the hours of travelling and 2.00 am starts are off putting but great if you want to stay put or visit closer attractions. Staff at all levels couldn't do enough for us. Excellent pool and brand new dive centre (Sinai Divers Taba) right on the beach means something for everyone. Food was excellent. Beef, chicken and fish dishes every day but always done differently and lots more to choose from. Rooms very nice and well serviced. Hotel new and of a high standard. Beach shoes recommended to easy entry in to the sea. All in all, a great place to go.

Holiday inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/17/06
Hello just returned from staying 2 weeks at the holiday inn.Well not really quite sure where to start. For one the location is terrible and its like being in the middle of no where. Was not very happy to wake up to the noise of diggers and cranes and to top it all could hear them from dawn till dusk. The food wasn`t to bad if you like the same thing everyday. The weather was ok but have had a few days with sand storm so made it very difficult to sit outside. The staff were very kind and helpful but the entetainment was terrible, some woman dancing in circles.I wouldnt recommed this holiday..No we won`t be going back

stress relief holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/6/06
My husband and i have just returned from a weeks holiday at Holiday Inn Taba. This was the most relaxing holiday we have ever taken in our 42 years of holidaying abroard. The Staff well what can i say, a credit to Holiday Inn, We dont just mean the waiters we mean everyone, from the top of the ladder to the bottom. The food was excellent, contorey to the reports we had read before going. The hospitality was wonderfull, I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants a stress free holiday. Regards Mr&Mrs John Quickfall Scunthorpe England PS. Yes it is a long way to travel to go to the most popular sights. But for a chill out holiday for people with a stressfull job just the ticket believe me.

Well worth a visit
By Leanne, 10/23/05
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn, Taba. It's not luxurious, but it is very comfortable and good value for money. The hotel is rather isolated from everywhere else, and the entire area is just starting to be developed, so we wouldn't recommend it for those who are seeking vibrant nightlife or lots of activity. If it's peace and quiet you're after, then it's brilliant. The contrast between ocean and mountains in Taba is breathtaking; it really is a very scenic location. The local beach is not ideal for swimming, but is great for snorkelling. Beware of the rocky approach to the sea - waterproof swimming shoes are a must. Take advantage of free introductory scuba diving lesson at the hotel's large pool - the diving instructors are fantastic. Meals were interesting and more than satisfactory - a good mix of local and western style cusines. One of the hotel's best assests is its staff, who are extremely helpful, cheerful and always on hand to assist.

Looking for a return trip already
By emma, 8/10/05
My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at this hotel; we both were extremely sad to go and could easily have stayed longer. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. The rooms are gorgeous: HUGE beds with different towel creations each day and the air conditioning is really powerful. The location is breathtaking with the Red Sea on one side, where you look out over the mountains of Jordan, Saudi and Isreal, and the Sinai mountains on the other side. At sunset the sun disappears down behind the Sinai mountains and the mountains across the Red Sea cause a stunning red shadow all over the water. The hotel's own private beach is the ideal place to set off snorkelling and is teaming with life even on the shore, so younger snorkellers or beginners won't miss out. In the afternoon it is possible to walk out ankle deep over the rocks and have fish, hermit crabs, starfish etc surrounding you. We are already looking for a return trip, not just back to the area but to this specific hotel. We HIGHLY recommend it.

Ideal for snorkelling novices.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/05
Newly developed resort which needs to mature a little, but staff are fantastic and eager to please. Beach has a natural lagoon to the right which is 1 - 1.5 metres deep, rich with coral and sea life, ideal for the novice snorkeller. To the left of the beach it starts out a bit rocky (quite slippery) after about 5 metres it drops down quite steeply, good for the more experienced swimmers. Resort is nicely situated if you wish to cross over into Jordan or Israel, also handy for Mt. Sinai, Dahab, or more snorkelling or scuba diving trips. only slight dislike is that with a new resort you find that the odd bit of grouting or stonework wants touching up, you will notice one or two ongoing repairs, but nothing major though. Would like to go back to see how the resort develops over the years, it has a lot of promise. Night life was a bit non existant but if you like it quiet then its brilliant.
