The Fountains, Orlando

I liked everything about this resort. The indoor/outdoor pool, kids pool, clubhouse, arcade room, bar, piano, pool table, good food, and great rooms. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. If you choose this resort, you are choosing a real class resort and will not be disappointed. The Harper

We stayed at this hotel for my hubby's b-day wk-end in early March '07. The staff was friendly especially the older Spanish gentleman who worked at the bar. We ordered food from there two different days and he was there both times and he recognized us. The food was really good BUT the price was a kind of high. We enjoyed the pool both days we went. On Sat, there was a DJ playing different songs and he played a few games. The only things that we didn't like about this hotel was: 1) There wasn't an extra lock on the door, like a chain lock. We have a two yr old who loves opening doors and we were scared that she'd open the door without us noticing. 2) There was two elevators in our building but one of them wasn't available most of the times. (There was a time that we got in it with another family and after that, it stopped in every floor to pick up more people including cleaners but they weren't able to get in because there wasn't any room left!) 3) Our master bathroom was nice BUT the shower curtain was strange. The water kept on getting outside the floor because the shower curtains weren't long enough.

Just got back from a 1 week stay and really enjoyed the experience. Most of the major construction seemed to be over so the noise was very minimal. The room itself was fantastic with everything you could ask for including little extras like paper towel, washing powder and extra towels. After a long day at the theme parks (Sea world is free to military which saved a fortune) the in room spa was a huge plus and our 18 month old loved it too. Parking wasn't a problem and the pool was great. Sure you see a constant stream of timeshare sales people going through but they ask you once and when you say no, they leave you to enjoy your holiday. All in all we were really happy and if you stay in area we did (room7508) you can see the disney fireworks from your front door balcony each night! The only downside is the internet is very bad but I believe they are upgrading that.

I was told I was staying in one of the newer units. The carpeting had several very large stains. The stains were from kool-aid or pop. The stains were 12-15 inches in diameter and there were 8-10 of them. There we people in the jacuzzi drinking beer out of pitchers at 2:00 in the afternoon. Even though it states no alcohol in the pool area. In the morning they were power washing the walls outside my room and I couldn't leave for 30 minutes and there were two twelve packs of beer empties outside the elevator. For a moment I thought I was in Daytona during spring break. Parking was bad. Bed sheets came off- not fitted.

This was by far the nicest resort I've ever stayed at. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of room and comfort. My family LOVED the pool area! We just couldn't get enough of it. It's just down the road from Sea World and a Prime Outlets "mall" just around the corner, so to speak. It's very easy to get just about anywhere. When we checked in we purchased the Universal Studios tickets and, in my opinion, got a real bargain. We hope to go back again to The Fountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

we have stayed at the fountains every year since 1997 when they were built,the club house has been refurbished and the rooms sleep 6 with no problems spacious bathrooms, lounge and screened balcony the decor is lovely and well presented,the indoor/outdoor pool is heated and never cold even at night time. Surrounding gardens & grounds are well kept and exceptionaly clean along with the tennis court. I have recommended the fountains to all our friends & relatives any anybody i speak to about florida. The accomodations may be more up to date than Solara Surfside in Miami, but the service doesn't come close to comparison. I am a Bluegreen owner; at the Fountains I felt like an owner, at Solara, I was made to feel like a guest. This is a very nice resort, but parking is especially troublesome, I found a roach in my bedroom and the trash from the room next door was left laying outside the door most of the day. Also, the staff left way too many messages on my phone; 5 in the 2 days we were there, very intrusive.

The Fountains was beautiful! We had so much fun there, it is so close to all of the Orlando attractions. My husband and I went by ourselves, and now we are going to take our kids there. Everyone there is so friendly, and helpful! This is the only place we will stay when we go to Orlando!!!

We have been owners at The Fountains (Oasis Lakes) since they were built in 1998. There have been many changes recently which have questioned whether we want to continue ownership. The addition of so many new apartments has spoilt the 'quiet, relaxing' feel of the resort as the pool amenities originally designed to cope with 72 apartments now has to accomodate 250! - with another 250 to come! The resort urgently needs to build new facilties to cope with these addtional guests rather than concentrate on the money -making apartments.

I loved everything from the accomodations to the service received from the resort staff. I am a SHOPOHOLIC........lol, so the resort being located next door to the Orlando Premium Outlets was a HUGE plus! I travel to Orlando several times a year and I have stayed many places but The Fountains was the VERY best by far. I will definitely be booking with them again this summer.
