Nonexistent sound insulation

2nd floor is absolutely horrible. By 6am, I was awaken by trucks in the street, and people washing dishes in the corridor. The neighborhood is mostly hispanic, and not really where I'd walk around after midnight.

Want quiet and great food at a reasonable cost?

The Super 8 Motel @ 139th street in Jamaica Queens NY is great for it's location, 4 blocks from the AirTrain, and surrounded by great places to eat. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff polite though uninformed. I enjoyed my stay there and plan to stay there again. Using Yahoo Travel was somewhat of a chore. The description of the motel and its location was poor. Trying to get a decent air flite time and a decent room was hard to do. The two didn't seem to match up. Next time I will book the two separately. It might cost a few dollars more but at least then I will fly when I want to and not when they want me to.
