I enjoyed my stay here
I stayed here in 2006 when I attended a conference at the convention centre across town. I didn't mind not staying close to the convention centre. This hotel was ideal because it was within walking distance to shopping malls, public transport, internet cafe etc.
My room was like a mini apartment with a dining table, kitchen sink and microwave. For meals, I just popped by the supermarket and bought frozen dishes by Weight Watchers etc. It also had a tv and a dvd player - which is quite rare.
I stayed with another single girl and we both felt safe enough to walk back to the hotel alone at night. That the hotel was just across the road from a train station with MacDonalds helped a lot :P
I was highly impressed with the taxi facilities. You just pick up the phone provided by the cab company (made available at the hotel and also the convention centre) and just tell the operator where you're heading to and a taxi will come and pick you up in a few minutes. There were also coach services to pick up from the hotel to the airport. But I took the train because it was cheaper.
I only remember good things about my trip to Brisbane and I'd love to go back there someday. Hopefully, I'll be able to stay in this hotel again.
