Market Street Inn, Charleston

This Inn, was just like going too grandma's,you felt like you belong' Jim @ Diane, are the best people that I have meet, in a very long time. They, Jim @ Diane' go out of there way too make sure you feel at home. There are only 5rooms, and are all diff. The outside courtyard is lovely, Diane takes care of it herself. This Inn is the hide-away of hide-away's right on the market and you don't even know it's there,also very safe.

We stayed at the Market St. Inn for 3 nights in Sept. What a wonderful experience. The owners are very knowledgeable about the city and assisted us with reservations and pointed us in the right direction to visit this great city. Our room, #3 was just off a beautiful courtyard and could not have been any nicer. When I compared the price and (especially) location to other places to stay, the Market St. Inn was by far an ideal situation for my wife and I. I can't wait to get back to Charleston and will be staying with Jim & Diane.

I have no negative things to write about this place. The owners were wonderful, very sweet and and hospitable people. I felt right at home when walking into the location. We also stayed in room 5. I can't wait to go back and see the other rooms. The location is close to everything and you can basically walk almost anywhere downtown. The rooms were clean and felt like home. If you enjoy the sounds of downtown, you will defintely experience them in room 5. Not enough to keep you awake all night but you will defintely get some giggles from what you here people say. Anytime, I plan a trip to Charleston I will be sure to stay at Market Street Inn. If you can't think of things to do.. the owners can give you quite a few suggestions.

My husband and I stayed here in May 2006 and our returning in May 2007 with our 2 little dogs. We absolutely loved it. The room was cozy and felt like home. We stayed in room 5 which has a kitchenette. When we were not out on the town we would relax and fix a little snack and watch the carriages go by the windows. Every morning the garbage collectors would pick up the trash from the neighboring restaurant and we used the sound as our alarm clock so we would not miss a minute of all the fun and sites to see. There is a little open terrace area separating the different rooms and it was filled with plants and flowers. It was a great place to stay and highly recommend it to anybody who has pets and is looking for a good relaxing trip. Jim and Diane are the best and will do anything to help make your stay pleasant and enjoyable!!
