Average Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/1/11
Had a 2 bdrm cabin and a studio in the lodge. Overall cleanliness was average. Cabin was well equipped. Grounds were nice. Had to have dishwasher repaired. Maintenance guy was quick and efficient. Amenities were ok --- pools are small and tend to be very busy. Staff was average. Overall customer service varied widely by who you got. Front desk service was below average and not interested in comments. Rented a boat at the marina. That staff was helpful and that was a good experience. Likely will not go back.

Room sheets were not clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/28/11
Stayed at the Wilderness Club for a week. A week later after getting home red bumps started showing up on body. Turns out it was scabbies which according to my doctor usually is contracted when staying at a hotel. Beautiful resort which is unfortunate because I doubt I will be able to talk my wife into going back.

Expensive and not internet access
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/10
We stayed in the a cabin. The internet access is wired. It did not work with a known working laptop. The maintenance person checked out the modem and the cable and reported no problems. The experience left me disappointed for $500 per night.

We will be back
By flyh2o, 3/1/10
first off let me get the complaints out of the way. The toilet paper holders were loose and caused the rolls to fall off. they had been repaired several times in the past as you could see the mismatched screws. A set of antlers on the wall also had mismatched screws. the windows in the main bedroom were in need of cleaning from the outside. yeah, I know, this is all I could come up with. i tried. Seriously though this property is amazing. the views, the service, the rooms, just everything was was really great. and i can't leave out the nightly visits from the cookie lady. Every night when the kids heard that knock on the door they'd get excited. we did go into branson for shopping and shows. it was fun. but next time we're not going out. we'll just stay there and relax. no, there's nothing wrong with branson. it's actually a neat and wholesome town from what i saw. but we just decided that next time we'll spend more time or actually all of our time there on the property. there's plenty to do or nothing if you like. we didn't use the shuttle service because we enjoyed walking. there are some hills that perhaps some people who might be older or with medical conditions might want to avoid. use the free transportation they offer. There's free internet at BrushyCreek clubhouse. the indoor pool was nice. the coffee and tea was good. they also have hot chocolate if you ask for it at the main desk. there's free movie rentals too. The kids cried when it was time to leave. they had an absolute blast! so did my wife and I. we're already planning our return. this is a great spot for families and couples.

We LOVE this place!
By Gerry, 10/23/09
We have been Bluegreen owners for 4 years and we ALWAYS use our points at Big Cedar Wilderness Club. We just can't imagine not going here at least twice a year (spring and fall). It's a gorgeous setting, the Devil's Pool restaurant is the BEST ever, and everyone is so friendly. We always stay in the studio (there's only the two of us) and really like them. If we want to cook in our studio, we can - but most of the time, we are "out and about". We've fallen in love with Arkansas and there are lots of great places to go and see that aren't far from Big Cedar. When we go back, it's just like returning "home". Our points work great for us - and it's a close get-away for us to enjoy "heaven" for a few days!

We are counting the days until we return!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/5/09
Wow! We used bonus time to come check out the resort for the weekend and it was amazing. We have four small children and they had a blast. The indoor pool was great, we watched movies every night, played mini golf, canoed, and fished all for FREE!! We loved every minute of our stay and can not wait until March when we get to go back!

Big Cedar Wilderness Club
By JoaquinaP, 5/23/09
We have been owners for many years and just love it. We go there 4-7 times a year for weekends and although, we have never tried to use a cabin, we love the condos. We take our kids, grandkids, sis, nieces, ex-husband :) and anyone that wants to go and everyone loves it here. There are tons of FREE activities and the scenery is splendid. Cannot say enough nice things about it. CHECK IT OUT.

Great Resort!
By Right WIng, 1/17/09
I have been to this resort twice on a sampler membership and we just became owners on our last trip. However, I agree that the sales people were very misleading about the sampler. On our first trip on the sampler only a studio was available to us. Yet most of the cabins and one and two bedrooms were empty. We asked about this and were told that since we were on a sampler that owners were given a priority on all the other rooms. I am fine with that but when there are so many available that is not right. Our salesman told us that are sampler points could be used for anything and that we would have no problem getting a cabin or a even a 1 bedroom. That is the only complaint I have. The sampler is still a great deal for the price but just be prepared to stay in a studio most of the time. Now that we are owners we have already booked a two bedroom lodge and a two bedroom cabin with no problem. You must book your cabins very far in advance if you expect to get one in the peak seasons. It is not impossible as some of these posters have said. You just need to get things set up asap. Another poster mentioned that people paying cash are taking cabins away from owners. This is not true because only owners can stay in The Wildnerness Club cabins. The cabins across the lake and some villas are for the people that pay cash. They do not have access to the owner's cabins.

book early - keep trying
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/08
We love this place, so does our in laws and parents and sisters. So we booked as many rooms as we could, but this year they are not able to join us, We had to let a room booked for a week go. I know someone will be happy to use this week for 4th of July. Enjoy!

Huge Let Down!
By yum, 5/7/08
The resort is fantastic. My compliant is with Bluegreen Wilderness Club. We bought a sampler to see if we wanted to have a time-share. What a waste of a $1000! We were sooo misled by our rep. He said it was "hard" to get in during June, July, and August, and he would help us out. It's not "hard" it's impossible. Holidays and surrounding days are also out. Granted we should have read the contract more carefully, but he said he could get us in. He gave us his card and told us to call. We have, no luck. We tried corporate and they can't help. Needless to say we will not be buying a timeshare from them.
