If you are a traveler who regularly stays at Hampton Inns, you know that they offer very clean, comfortable, service-oriented accommodations, and this one does not disappoint. My husband, our 16-year-old son, and I stayed there for 2 nights in March 2004. We had already spent 7 nights at a share-time condo and needed a place to bunk down for the last 2 nights of our vacation (Incidentally, we had stayed at Fantasy World Villas, and we do NOT recommend this resort!). We chose the Hampton Inn & Suites Orlando Intl Dr N as it is very close to Universal Studios and we have always had good luck with Hampton Inns. We selected a King suite, featuring a pullout couch, large television with vcr, table with chairs, recliner, wet bar, microwave & mini refrigerator. The room was very spacious and well appointed. The furnishings all appeared new and the bathroom was impeccably clean. The mattress was quite comfortable and also seemed to be new. The only drawbacks were the size of the bathroom and closet: both were slightly smaller than anticipated, though not overly so. The bathroom sink and mirror were located outside the bathroom and there was the additional convenience of the tiny sink in the wet bar. The free continental breakfast was exceptionally good, as we usually find at Hampton Inns. The outdoor pool is large, clean, and surrounded by deck chairs and patio tables with umbrellas. The common areas of the hotel are nicely decorated, comfortable and welcoming. One of the characteristics of Hampton Inns that I have noticed over the years is that the rooms are always equally nice to the hotels reception areas not so with other affordably-priced hotel chains. Also, local calls are ALWAYS free, which can save you a significant amount over the course of a long vacationFree membership in Hilton Hhonors Club is highly recommended, the privileges and awards include earning both hotel points AND airline miles for each stay, as well as preferred reservations and check-ins.
