Not bad, but location is not ideal

Rooms are small, so small in fact that the coffee pot was located in the bath room. Beds reasonably comfortable. Service and housekeeping excellent. The hotel is located across from a steel mill, and the odor from the mill tended to penetrate the room on several occasions. Excellent high speed internet connection. The floor model heating/AC unit is quite noisy and cycles on/off continuously which came to be quite annoying. The hotel is rated by some web sites to be 4.5 stars, but this is definitely an overrating. But, the hotel is always full, so make your reservations early. The Plaza Hotel (downtown Ashland) is similar, but older, and offers in-building restaurants and bars with live music. It is rated much lower than the Best Western, but I would give them both a rating of 2.5 out of 3 stars when all is considered. The Plaza is similarly priced to the Best Western.
