A disappointing Renaissance!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/07
This is the worst Renaissance! No where near the luxury of California or London! Uncomfortable beds, 1 hand towel (no bathtowels or wash clothes)- had to ask for slippers (no robe in room). Room service was pitiful...the entree salad was the size of a salad plate...not an entree and $24 (with everything added). Noisy...could hear people walking on the atrium walkways. I waited in a 30 minute line for valet parking on a freezing cold night. The valet drivers were cute in their dusters & cowboy hats - but really - 30 minutes???? Not a good value and not a Renaissance Hotel! Seemed like a night at the NoTell Motel!

The Best Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/07
I loved how nice and clean it was, i felt safe and loved the trip because of the hotel. it was even one of our cheapest options and we are glad we choose it. the room was so nice, the beds where soft and the sheets were very clean. it was no doubt about it the #1 hotel we have ever been to!!!

Platinum Elite, Does it Matter?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/06
Marriott Rewards members beware. If you travel as much as I do, you know that most Marriott properties will do their best to upgrade you to a suite or at least the concierge level. Everytime I travel to Tulsa I have stayed at this hotel since it opened. However, in the past year service has declined dramatically. Could it be new management? Or just a corporate initiative? Either way my past 5 stays have proven that this property has no appreciation of the loyality I have given to Marriott over the past 8+ years. I have experienced rude staff at the front desk, as well as the staff telling me they are unable to upgrade me due to the hotel being full. I guess they do not realize a phone call to reservations or a quick check on the internet can prove how full they really are? I have been placed in small rooms by ice machines, and handicap rooms which have bathrooms that are not user friendly for no handicap people. Platinum Elite, does it matter? Not to this property. Hopefully management will change soon. If other Marriott properties begin to treat top teir members this way, I guess I will have to find another chain to be loyal to!!

Nice but not practical
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/02/06
The holtel is nice and the service is good, but it is not very practical for business travellers. No free internet, no free breakfest etc. For a better experience in Tulsa try the Staybridge suites. It is acros the street and has free breakfest, in room internet, free drinks( including alcohol) at night.

Comfortable except for the noise
By Heather, 11/28/05
We recently had a Friday and Saturday night stay over. The staff was warm and welcoming. The bellhops and the front desk staffs always greeted us upon our arrival and departures. The lobby and the atrium were beautiful. My kids loved the fish and turtles swimming in the stream and the glass elevators which overlook the stream. We were given a third floor atrium room with a king sized bed. The room's appointments were nice. The bed was large and comfortable. The staff brought a full twin size roll away for my young children. The roll away was not the usually folding cot, but instead a regular twin bed on wheels - very comfy!! The view was the top of the convention center. So we looked out at air conditioner units. But in all honesty...who looks out the windows a bunch (particularly if you are not at the ocean or mountains! ;) ) The bathroom was beautiful and large. The hotel shampoo, conditioner, and soaps are YUUMMMYYY smelling. The negatives. First, the room has only one bath towel. I did not realize that the first night and the next morning the entire family shared the same towel. (I know...yukkk!!!) The second night I had to call housekeeping. They brought us more towels, but that was a pain. Second, the NOISE. While the atrium is beautiful...it echoes badly. Both nights we were awaken at midnight but a significant amount of noise coming from the atrium. While I'm sure the noise level was reasonable down low, the echo caused the noise to reverberate around the hotel. As a result, even the soundest sleeper will probably be awakened. (I usually sleep though anything!) Third, the parking. It is a hike from the hotel entrance to the parking lot. The front of the hotel is occupied but a large covered entrance and an even larger driveway. As a result, you have to walk nearly a football field length to get to the nearest parking places. You can pay for valet parking, but it is $10 a night. We did not use the hotel facilities. So I can not review the pool, exercise room, or food. The hotel is centrally located and there are several decent chain restaurants right outside. We have stayed in plenty of nice hotels. While this one was nice, I am not sure it was worth the cost.

Great Anniversary stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/05
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night and thought it was wonderful. We had a suite. It had lots of comforts, was clean, and had a great view. We also ate breakfast down stairs at the buffet. It was elegant and tasted great. We were also very impressed with the staff. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful.

Excellent Property/Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/05
Epitome of style and luxury! The kids enjoyed the swimming pool, and I liked the free wireless in their atrium! Creates an excellent impression of the city/state! My family was very pleased.
