Microtel Starkville Ms, Starkville

Wonder where the person with french fries really stayed. Does he remember? We've done a lot of domestic traveling lately...top notch hotels...and this was clearly the cleanest, friendliest one! Towels were numerous and fluffy, rooms were clean, breakfast plentiful and staff friendly and helpful. An incredibly good and clean and pleasant place to stay! Hope no one takes that bad review seriously...no relation to what it's really like!

The staff was really friendly and the breakfast although not huge was decent. What really irked me was that they did not have but two towels in a room. When I went down to ask for more, they had no more in the whole hotel! Are you kidding me? What hotel tell runs out of towels? Not only that but the towels looked to be 20 years old and the size that a toddler would use. Then the phone did not work in the room. Also, the pillows were not very big and only two per bed. The television also did not work very well as it kept losing signal. So on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate them a 5. The were not the best but not the worst. I guess the price makes it a draw. This was my first time staying in a Microtel. Would I return? I am not sure. Definately is not a Holiday Inn Express!

I've stayed several nights at the Microtel in Starkville. The average hotel there seems to be somewhat over priced so the Microtel is a decent place to stay without leaving an arm and leg on deposit. I use Microtel often all over the US. This is not as horrible as one review seems to paint it but must admit it seems to be a little less than standard. Trust me, Starkville has some real roach motels. Has a treadmill, pool and strong internet connection. I'll stay there again.

The Microtel Inn & Suites of Starkville, MS was about the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Then againk, I guess if you like frozen donuts, a rusted toaster, warm juice, no coffee, a dirty lobby, unfriendly service, dried up french fries behind the nightstand, hair in the tub, mold in the toilet, mildew on the bathroom floor, dead bugs floating on the pool, and a dirty elevator, then this is the hotel for you. But it is not for me. I stayed at the worst looking hotel that was better than this one. I want ever think of staying at this hotel again and I suggest you do the same.
