A surprising ending
By Michael, 1/25/10
Let me begin by saying when i arrived at the hotel, it was pouring rain, very heavily, and not one of the bellmen helped me get my bags out of the cab! I was shocked! Originaly I had booked a suit for me and my wife, after checking in, we went up to our room and found that it was not the suit i was promised. A rather illexperienced staff member informed me that all of the suits had been booked. I did not understand how on my itenerary, i had booked a suit, yet she was telling me there were non available. I demanded to see a manager and i told him of the mistake that had been made and how the lady working the fron desk was rude and unprofessional. He admitted responsibility for the booking errors and upgraded us to the Penthouse! Considering i paid the rate of a traditional room, it was a great value! I was , however surprised at the Penthouse, it was not very luxurious, with the exception of the bathroom. I had been to this hotel previously without all of these problems, but his occasion sited unprofessional staff which was a dissappoinment.

Great Hotel
By Waterdog, 9/13/09
This hotel has a great view of the river & is located by so many things. Just wish they had a pool outside. Great pillows & bed was comfortable. Will go there again when staying downtown.

not a favorite
By NL, 10/8/08
I thought the hotel looks very nice downstairs. Service and doormen etc. were very nice. However, I found the room dated. The 60's furniture was not ahit with me. I love having clean and white bedding. That is a plus, but the sofa in the room looked so old. The bathroom looked nice, but the shower tile looked like it needs to be cleaned up. The shower door either had not been cleaned or the bottom of it just has too much soap scum. I just did not feel clean. I will have to say I have very high standards. So I guess I got what I paid for. We had stayed here 2 years ago, and wanted to stay again, but now, no thanks. The bar area is very nice and the resturant is suppose to be excellent. I am missing my sun glasses. We had our car parked and when they returned it to us, my sun glass case was in the seat, but NO SUN GLASSES. They were a nice pair!

location was perfect
By sumbba1, 7/31/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Simply the Best
By Valerie G, 8/27/05
I have stayed all over the United States from Hawii to New York. I have never stayed in a Hotel where we did not want to leave the room because the bed was so comfortable. They have the best beds in the world. When my husband and I returned home from our 4 day stay, we went out and found a bed at the same standard as the Loews in New Orleans. The service was great and it was very clean. It was worth the cost. The next time we visit New Orleans we will only stay there.

Mardi Gras
By Hardik, 5/16/05
Was in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, 2005. Excellent hotel to stay at, far enough away to get some sleep. Parades came by hotel, within walking distance to Burbon Street. The hotel staff was kind and quick to respond to requests. Hotel is close to the Casino as well. Highly recommend it.
