HORRIBLE SERVICE
By Shanece T, 04/25/08
I originally made a reservation at this hotel on a Monday for a stay on Friday for the Dogwood Track and Field Invitational. Our school had some transportation issues and as a result our plans fell through with regard to staying at this hotel. I called on Friday morning to cancel my reservation and was told by the Assistant GM and later the GM that because I did not cancel my reservation 72 hours prior to Friday (which means I would have had to cancel the very next day) I may be responsible for the cost of the room whether we were staying there or not. I explained my situation several times and was told that no exceptions would be made because of "hotel policy". Long story short, I'll never stay at any Choice Hotels!! The service is horrible!!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/06
on october 23, 2006 i posted a generally scathing review of this hotel. this afternoon i receioved a call from the manager and everything was resolved. he could not have been nicer and i feel my comments were taken to heart. i may give them another chance.

stay somewhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/06
for $160 per night, we got a bathroom with mold on the ceiling, no maid service and a poor quality breakfast. charlottesville is a lovely town with lots of great things to see and do. visit the city, stay somewhere else.

Very friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/06
My husband is in the Army and was traveling. Due to some crazy string of events he needed a room, and with me holding the credit card in IL and him in VA it caused a HUGE mess. Thankfully this hotel was the ONLY hotel in the area that took the credit card over the phone. Its not always about all the frills and amenities, but its always about the quality of service, and this hotel has AWESOME customer service!

Comfortable place
By Wayne, 04/27/06
My only real complaint with the Sleep Inn was the price -- although this place does offer amenities that we are not used to (indoor pool, hottub, excercise room), so I suppose the value is there. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the extras. We did enjoy Charlottesville for the night and day we were there. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast is the usual. One quirk of the Sleep Inn: the internet is through a LAN rather than wireless. So bring a CAT5 cable with your laptop. I don't know if the front desk has them.

The Sleep Inn - modest cost - high quality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/06
The Sleep Inn provided just what we needed for our stay in Charlottesville, without breaking the bank. It's not fancy, but it was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Adequate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/05
I 've certainly had better experiences. The reservation was for a non-smoking room; however, the room had a distinctive smoke odor. A comparable room was not available, so we were moved to a smaller room. The television in the second room was broken, so we received a small discount in the charges. It was handled relatively well, but the overall experience was frustrating.

A good night's sleep at Sleep Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/04
We had a suite with a king bed and sleeper sofa to fit our entire family. It was a huge room with plenty of space. We slept great! There could be more added to the complimentary breakfast, but it's enough for a quick bite. Now, my parent's room with the 2 double beds was 1/2 the size of ours. So spend the extra $$ and get the bigger room!
