go somewhere else for your wedding stay!
We had our wedding ceremony at the Four Points. I wished I went w/ a different and newer hotel in the area. My parents in law paid a pretty penny to have part of the ballroom for a little over an hour. We paid way too much for the experience. Upon arriving the "suite's" toilet didn't work. They did promptly fix it. There was an old, dusty, worn out couch in the joke of a bridal suite. Marks & chipped paint all over the walls. Out dated TV. The hot tub jets barely worked and didn't hold the water (slowly drained). The walls were bare besides a picture hanging above the kitchenette counter. They didn't leave anything complimentary for us besides the standard bottle of water. Woo. We stayed three nights w/ them & we expected maybe a few complimentary drinks at the bar or a little goodie basket. Nothing. This is how they treat their brides & grooms. I heard the breakfast wasn't free but I sure ate for free. Maybe that was their "complimentary" thank you for the stay. It is hard to tell b/c that wasn't discussed w/ me. Well I feel they at least owed me that. The food was good & I chatted w/ a very friendly waitress/cook. While checking in the front desk the clerk asked how the day was going w/ all of the wedding preparations. I told him everything is falling into place. He then chuckled and told me that is when something usually goes wrong. He was right. THEY were the "thing" that went wrong. When I was trying to sleep the night before my wedding I could hear a weird dripping sound in the ceiling & the guests in the room above me stomping around, showering, and flushing the toilet at 4:30 in the morning. Not restful! The floor was dirty at our ceremony site. I had to ask someone to spot vacuum a few hours before the ceremony. I am not sure if someone did but I feel as though that should've been paid attention to on their part, not mine. They also did not dim the lights as discussed for the ceremony. I got married under bright, hot, annoying, harsh, unflattering florescent lights. My coordinator was very nice & easy to work with and there were a few friendly & helpful staff members w/ some things. I did ask to see the suite before I decided to stay there and she told me to wait & "be surprised". I sure was & not in a positive way. Housekeeping did respect the "do not disturb sign" on the door...as they should! I am not sure what they were thinking their end but we expected much more for the price. We feel disappointed about the experience b/c we paid so much for a below average room. Oh excuse me, "bridal suite".
