Never again

I had stayed at this motel many times in the past (every 12 weeks) due to coming to the hospital fom 750 miles away for cancer check-ups. It is clean, and the rooms are nice, and the medical rates are good. But...this last time I came they completely ripped me. While at the hospital, I called them to tell them I may or may not need to stay another day, depending on my test results and what else the Dr. wanted to do. I was told "no problem, just call me by 3:00 before I am off work and let me know". My mother heard her tell someone else the same thing earlier that morning. Around noon it was determined I didn't need to stay so I called my dad and husband at the hotel to check out. They loaded the car and checked out at 1:10 and the woman told them we were to be checked out by 1:00, which was not true. She agreed on 3:00. She charged us $39.95 plus taxes for checking out 10 minutes past the 1:00 check out, even though she told me I could have until 3:00 to advise her. Its been a month and I've filed a complaint with corporate office who forwarded it to them. I've tried most days to reach a manager and there's never one there. I will never stay here again. It's bad enough to be dealing witih cancer, but to get ripped by a motel that deals with cancer patients day in and day out is unacceptable. I will stay elsewhere even if it costs me twice the price.
