Not that bad
By Jenn, 11/05/07
OK it wasn't the Ritz but it defensibly beat the 2 hour drive back home from Foxwoods. It was a place to sleep. We paid the rate of 60 dollars and the man at the check in desk was pleasant. He let us have a room upstairs with a balcony. The room did smell funny and the bedspread and wall paper did not match. But other then that .. it served the purpose. If you are going to Foxwoods and don't want to travel home in the middle of the night and would rather spend your money gambling/drinking then on a hotel, budget Inn is the way to go.

Coulda been much worse
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/05/07
I thought the hotel was closer to foxwoods which was a negative part but that was my fault not theirs. the toilet wasnt the cleanist i have ever seen but other than that everything was pretty clean. there were enough blankets, the pillows were soft. the rooms were of course ugly but it was motel so it wasnt surprising. i like that there were lots of locks on the door. the service was fine. the guy was really nice and checkin was really quick and easy. there was an odd smell. but after a lil while it wasnt noticeable. the room was only about $65 a nite which was perfect & basically the room was used for getting ready and sleeping in for a few hours. i didnt hear a single other person in the hotel & their were definitely other people staying there. overall it was a really OK experience personally.

Just awful
By cheryl, 08/14/07
First of all the rate was $145.00 not $59.00. I thought i was getting the one up the street. This one is down the end of the road where you can't see it. Grounds were shabby, lawn ill kept. Motel needed painting and general care. Window removed from back wall and curtain hanging down. Toilet dirty, fridge dirty with container inside with water and red stuff like tooth paste inside. Microwave had not turntable inside. Exposed plug outlets, not sure bed sheets had been changed. Called up the street and was told no vacancy. So spent the night, next morning complained, was told too bad should have left. Wish i had.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/07
It was dirty, bathrooms dirty and staff was not the most pleasant. Beds were very umcomfortable and pillows were stained to the point we would not even stay. We left and demanded our money back. spend the extra money and i am CHEAP but it aint worth it.

Not worth the $$
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/07
This place was easy to get to--right off of the highway. It was small, but we were only sleeping there, so it fit the purpose. When we arrived, we saw the people in the room next door had 3 children under the age of 5--but we never heard them. Bonus points for being nice and quiet. The place smelled strange. Not unpleasant, just really weird. It was all we could smell until we turned on the sink--which smelled like sulfur. The water was disgusting, and I ended up using bottled water to brush my teeth, and didn't take a shower at all--I can still taste the water in my mouth, 8 hours later. The bed was comfortable, the room looked like it was under construction--one was plastered over. The AC turned on, but the controls didn't work on it, so we couldn't make it colder. But, for being a summer night, it was comfortable. The remote control was held together with scotch tape, and almost every TV station was fuzzy. The office wasn't very professional--a child was working, and had to find my reservation on small pieces of notebook paper--that didn't make me feel very secure, and I took my e-mail confirmation home with me instead of throwing it away at the hotel. If they put their reservations on scraps of paper, instead of a computer, I doubt they care about keeping my info private. All in all, not a bad experience, but definitely not worth the money. It was only $50 more for the local Hilton. We should have splurged and stayed at the Hilton, because we paid $150 for one night and couldn't even shower in clean water.

Awful Experience, Awful Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/06
I don't know where to begin writing my review of this place. On first arriving you notice trash and debris littered through out the property. Broken stairwells and long ago peeled away paint. Socks and other laundry decorate the railings. In the parking lot there are several broken down cars. It's very scary. Upon entering the office you will be greeted with an odor of mildew so strong you are forced to breath through your mouth. The man at the desk did not speak English and needed a child to translate for him, she spoke in only marginally better. When you are brought to a room, you are agian greeted with a horrifying odor, and you wonder how long it's been since someone stayed here last? The room in filthy the walls are peeling and the bathroom is unsanitary. Unfortunatly you've booked through a travel site already and when you negotiate to cancel your reservation and not have your card charged you are being lied to. You will find that out when you get your credit statement in the mail. When you call to discuss this you are greeted by hostile and rude people. There no customer service here. You will be insulted, have rude unappropriate things said to you and you will not get your money back. They will steal from you. I can not urge you enough to go find another place to stay, it's not worth the few dollars you would save by staying here and not somewhere else. In fact I would give you the differance just to save you from staying here. It's dirty, run down and scary. The people are rude and are only interested in your money. Buyers Beware!!

Never Agian
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/05/05
This is my first time taking the time to review a hotel for a web site. I have a busy job and my time is money - but after the disastrous trip this weekend marked by my stay at this Budget Inn, I was compelled to warn anyone else considering a stay here to save their money! Where to begin. The live-in owners/operators. Look, America is the land of opportunity - it is truly a great place and a melting pot - and I am ALL FOR people coming to our country and making it for themselves. But please, please, please...if you're going to come here, buy a hotel and operate it - understand the language spoken by 95 percent of the people in the country. The folks here looked at me like I
