Iberostar Paraiso del Mar, Playa del Carmen Centro

My family and I had a fantastic vacation at the Del Mar. The lagoon style pool is beautiful with 3 swim-up bars,. Make sure to visit Orlando and have him make you a drink. The Star friends always have plenty of activities to join in on and there are plenty of quiet areas to relax too. The beach was also beautiful, plenty of chairs and shade if you wanted it. There is a bar and grill beach-side so you don't have to go far. The food was good , the buffets had a wide variety of food to please everyone. The a la carte restaurants were good also and we had no trouble getting reservations. One of the best things about the resort was the staff. Everyone was very hospitable especially the hard working waiters and waitresses. Bring lots of dollar bills, the servers really appreciate the extra tip. If you want fun in the sun and outstanding service visit the Del Mar on your next vacation.

Beautiful hotel. I would stay here again. Booked thru Apple vacations. I wish the reservation desk for dinners had more hours or staffed more people instead of one person (long line). I was not happy with how long it took the bell man to pick up our luggage. After an hour wait we started to carry our own luggage to the lobby the day we departed. We were in building 15 (we were told the bus would leave the hotel at 10:50 a.m. sharp) we were met by the bell man about half way to the lobby. The bus was late leaving the hotel for the airport because of late luggage pick up from the rooms. Very freindly staff. Loved the nightly shows.

Would revisit and recommend to friends any of the Iberostar resorts. Beautifully kept, highly maintained rooms, gardens and all amenities. Many well organized activities for children and adults. Watersports available right from the beach. Cafes and food service available for a loose vacation schedule however reservations Are required for formal dinners. Do that first and relax for the remainder of your stay. There's almost no draw to even leave the premises. Some shopping is available on premises with Nightly shows. Very impressed by the quality of entertainment within the resort and the team of staff which will make your visit enjoyable even if you arrive with a frown on your face. Magnifico!

I have been to many all inclusive resorts in Mexico and find that Iberostar del mar has it all at a very reasonable price. The 5 golden apple rating is properly rated. I would recommend this to others and plan on returning myself. There is a lot of walking so if you're not up to it you will be using the shuttle. I personally enjoyed walking through the beautifully lanscaped grounds (pretty as Hawaii). The food was fine, the normal buffet spread but a good selection. The mexican restaurant was a little disappointing. The menu offered tacos, tacos and tacos. Where are the enchiladas, burritos and chimi changas? We showed up at two restaurants without a reservation and they cheerfully accomodated us. The people were extremely friendly and bend over backwards to accomodate. Service was absolutely outstanding. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed the towel art designed by the maids every day. The pool was fabulous, beautiful and very clean and went on forever. No trouble getting a chair wherever I wanted. This resort was comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. We look forward to returning next year when it's cold in Michigan.

Had our senior spring break there, greatest week of my life. This place was unreal. One of my favorite parts, the midnight buffet. Leaving the club all drunk then being able to hit up an all you can eat buffet. So awesome.

There was only one thing we didn`t like. We couldn`t use the calling card we bought. It would not work with their phones. We could have bought one through the resort, but each call would have been a $5.00 connection fee. They do have a free shuttle bus to Playa del Carmen which we took a few times and found we could use the phones there with our calling card. Other than that, the resort was wonderful!! The atmosphere was great. You could sit by the pool and be involved in the games , go to the beach, or relax by the pool on the quiet end. 3 swim-up bars. Food was OK. So many times you read that the food was not good, but remember that they are trying to please a lot of different appetites. Anyway, I recommend booking a vacation and staying at the Iberostar Paraiso del Mar. You will not be dissappointed.

I've been to Mexico five times and this was the best resort ever! My friend and I went to just chill out and this was a great place to do it. Plenty of activities if you wanted, but quiet enough to be still and relax. We were there for four days and never left the resort! The food was excellent, plentiful, and always available! The service was amazing and always with a smile. I'd go back to this resort a thousand times!!! Be prepared to walk a lot because the property is massive and it's a great distance from the lobby to the beach and sometimes the wait for the trolly is long.

We loved it! The kids has a great time with the mini club and the evening activities. My husband and I got to enjoy our time with the kids and with each other! Wonderful food and atmosphere! Beautiful hotel and great accomidations.

This was the best vacation Rick & I have been on, the pool is endless with swim-up bars, many restaraunts, buffets, reserved dining and the beach and water were beautiful. This is where two resorts are connected so the resort is huge, with shuttles that will take you back and forth. Perfect all inclusive vacation- I would highly suggest it. I was always afraid to go to Mexico thinking I would get sick from the water (hey, I had been there done that and it is not pretty). But not a complaint about this place. I would definately go back, actually have been to two Iberostar resorts and would go to any.

We just got beck from the Iberostar Paraiso beach and it was AWSOME!I Loved the Star Friends they were awsome... I also Loved the service they provided and the rooms were really neat same with bathrooms no one got sick. And when you were sad the Star Friends would come over and cheer you up and like if there is a water activity they would ask you to dance to one of my favorite sonhs HEy Baby(I wanna Know will you be my girl) and at night they asked me to dance with them it was really fun.OMG and I really want to hang out with the star friends they are so AWSOME.
