Iberostar Cozumel Resort, Cozumel

The hotel was okay...but too far away from downtown. And to go into town it was $17usf/one way. And there really wasn't anything to do after supper. You had to wait until 9:45p.m for a floor show, which was just a bunch of school kids acting. They were not very good. The tours offered were not worth the money. The jeep tour cost us $75/person, and it wasn't worth $40/person. We didn't see any of the animals they claim in the brochure that we would see and when we stopped at the beach, I got tar all over my towel. It was very dirty.

We stayed in Iberostar in January of 2005. It was the worst resort we have ever stayed at. The buffet, the Mexican, and the steak place were all ABSOLUTELY terrible. It was not edible! The beds were like rocks. The electricity went out twice. We were too far away from town. The smell by the flamingos smelled like sewage. And the staff for tourist ideas were horrible. We said we wanted to go to Plya on a ferry. The guy working there said don't go. We went anyway. It was assume!!! The ONLY good thing about the Iberostar were the shows that the staff put on nightly. They were great!!!

MY HUSBAND AND I JUST RETURNED FROM THE IBEROSTAR COZUMEL LAST WEEK. IT IS A GREAT RESORT. THE STAFF WAS GREAT AND THE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. WE HAVE BEEN TO COZUMEL BEFORE BUT ENJOYED THIS VISIT. YOUR APPLE REPRESENTATIVES, ROSIE AND RUBIN ARE GREAT. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO FIND US SOMETHING NEW TO DO. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE IBEROSTAR. A GOOD THING WOULD BE A HOMING DEVICE AS WE WERE A LITTLE LOST FOR THE FIRST COUPLE DAYS...

This resort had it all, great food, great service, great entertainment, and a very clean beach. Iberostar is giant in size, and there is much to explore. Roughly 1/2hr from the airport, the located is very good. There are 2 different pools, both very large. We will be there again for sure!!

My wife and I spent eight beautiful days at the Iberostar. Everything was picture perfect. The rooms were thatched roofs,very clean, and in a jungle setting. No bugs. The shows at night were excellant. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. Staff was excellant and everything at your finger tips. The only two disappoiments were; access to the ocean due to the coral rock made it painful to walk in the water, and the buffet served the same menu daily with most of the choices lacking much flavor. Breakfast was the highlight. Our experience at the Mexican Restaurant was very disappointing because of the food. The Steak House was very good.

I love this place, its on a beautiful beach location, you can actually see all the way across the ocean from Cozumel to the Mexican mainland!!! This will be my 4th trip...its very comphy and inviting, not stuffy like some other hotels in Cozumel that I won't name...Scuba sites are right off the pier with World Class Diving, more than anyone can ever go to in a lifetime.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here & would definitely go back. It's like living in a luxurious jungle, because while keeping in tune with the tropical environment, the rooms, restaurants, and service are all first class. My favorite part was the location. It was right on the beach. Plus, everything you need is right at your fingertips. I hardly ever left the hotel. Just once to go horseback riding & buy souvenirs!

what made this holiday so great was the staff! i just adored them ! so friendly!great entertainment !the bars were great because there was one in the pool so you could have a drink and a swim/dip in the pool at the same time !!!i defo recomend this to all kinds of people!!!

On our recent stay at the Iberostar on Cozumel we had a excellent time. We can't say enough about everything that they had to offer. From the time that we got there the staff was over and beyond to take care of us. The rooms were very clean and they kept them that way the entire time. The food they offered was very good and plentiful. Even when our door key didn't work someone was at our bungalow in a matter of minutes double checked who we where and got us in. I would recommend the Iberostar to anyone visiting Cozumel.

This resort is layed back and low key, not pretentious. The staff are fun, friendly and down to earth people that want to make your visit count . If you never left the resort, you could find something to do 24/7, it has everything you need. Sandy white beach crystal clear blue and green water, you can snorkel right off the beach and underneath the dock is like swimming in an aquarium with tons of fish. Plenty of lounge chairs and a beach bar to enjoy your bottomless drinking. Night life entertainment is like a broadway show, outstanding music, drama, and dancing. Food is excellent. Love the coffee and breakfast baked goods. The animals make it fun, cats hanging out (for the cat people that miss their cats lol) lizards and bizarre birds that make weird sounds (we named kodak birds). Our hotel villa had a great atmosphere to it and also great airconditioning, comfy beds, stocked mini frig full of bottled water, beer, soda. All your amenities and fun character. Maids did a terrific job and made artistic animal figures out of towels. We went snokeling out on the reefs, a boat picked us up right on the dock ,very easy,safe and fun crew, just set it up with the on site tour agents. Now this is why people write songs about Mexico and wanting to come back to relax and get away, I know I will. Great Birthday Present! One Big Party
