If you are looking at this hotel it is most likely because of the price. Everthing in the other reviews are true. the pool is ice cold!, the rooms look run down, and the tv does not work on a few channels(only about 5 channels come in good). the breakfast is a joke. and the workers are not the friendliest. and the houses next to the hotel looked like they should be torn down. But it is close enough to the Falls to walk (about 6 to 10 min) and the beds (sheats) looked clean. We stayed for $60 bucks a night. for the price we got what we payed for. From the looks of the town I dont think any of the hotels would look much better and did cost alot more. The State Park was really nice and you felt safe. The workers were polite and friendly. As soon as you got out of the park though you felt like you were in the slums(maybe thats because you ARE). all the shops were old run down and dirty looking and had the most unfriendly people I have ever met at a tourist attraction. We could count on 1 hand how many people made us feel welcome. my advice is stay up by Lake Ontario and drive down to visit the park(Maid of the Mist,Cave of Winds, Goat Island). I think you will enjoy that alot more. Thats what we are going to do next time.

Do not come anywhere near this place. Their customer service was a horror!

The location was amazing. The cost for the hotel was very good. Other motels/ hotels i checked were not for what they offered. The kids enjoyed the pool and husband and I enjoyed the restuarant on location. Best Italian food we have had since Italy. We are already planning a second trip here at the end of the summer.

This hotel is disgusting. Run away as fast as you can. The bedspreads are older than the falls themselves. All rooms are smoking rooms despite their claims to be otherwise. I would never stay here again. I would sleep on the street in the middle of January rather than stop here again. BEWARE of 48 hour cancellation policy that ensures they get your payment before you see their rooms!!!

this place has a nice staff, and that is it! can you shower with knobs falling, no washcloth, minature soap? are you used to sleeping with blankets with cigarette burns, and holes?? if you need anything, the front desk has to go searching for it--our room the tv only got one fuzzy channel. apparently they have no maintenace person on duty. so if something happens, you are stuck with it. a complaint was filed, the owner never responnded to me, or choice hotels, that did nothing about it! good thing for my credit card company! we had to stay as there were no rooms available, in all the places with checked to move to. we were there in a week that was too busy with last minute vacations. you have to drag your luggage up steps, no elevator. so pack your sleeping bag and forget this place. this was listed in AAA, and we always rely on them. This changed my mind for sure. Choice corresponded via email. Said they would investigate, but the only times they did, is when i would ask what they were doing about this place. The end result from Choice was nada!!!!!

Motel is in run-down neighborhood which did not look safe. We had three small children and did not feel secure in the building or the neighborhood. Parking seemed very unsafe and insecure also. Building is very run down from the outside and poorly maintained and dated in the lobby. In spite of the inconvenience, we elected to find other lodging. Management has since been unresponsive to repeated followup phone calls about the reservation,facilities, and charges.
