natalie was great--
By MikeD, 01/21/10
natalie was great-- and so was the security guard--who offered to travel ahead of me and show me how to get to my business locations because I got lost at least twice. These two people by themselves had turned an otherwise "want to forget" stay into a fairly memorable one. Yes it is true I was shocked to learn that I had to pay $14 a night for parking but that was my companies oversight by not informing me ahead of time. The elavator did appear to malfuntion--(if a faulty key is inserted the elavator will still go up to a randon floor for some mysterious reason, then stay there for what seems like a minute, than return to the first floor.) And I still don't know if breakfast was included as I didn't ask but A friend said it should have been included at the price my company allegedly paid

Pleasant stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/06
I was in the hotel for 1 night stay. The staff was courteous. The bed was super comfortable and the room was immaculate. I think I got the best night sleep that I've ever had at a hotel here. The only negative: the toilet would occasionally refill in the tank so must have had a slow leak. The internet room had free use of a laptop. It ended up not going to visit NYC so can't comment on how traveling there was, but it was a very nice stay and I recommend it.

Nickel and Dime city...
By BANZAI, 10/22/06
Check in was tough! The clerk must have been new or on something that impaired communication. The hotel charged for everything possible..including plain 'ol ICE and internet. A hotel isn't worth much to me without internet access and paying extra for it in this day & age is rather unusual. One would figure their normal rate was high enough to cover such luxury items. Access to the floor(s) was slowed by a spotty security card reader in the elevators. The location was acceptable considering my point of business and reason for travel. The bed was nothing short of great and probably the best ever in my travels. The view of the airport was interesting as well. Still, probably not some place I would want to have to use again all things considered.

Amazing what bad service can do
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/05
Amazing how bad service can taint your experience. Front desk was unhelpful. When I tried to contact Wyndham headquarters to discuss some trouble with my stay--they were even worse. I suppose that's where the local training comes from. Stay downtown instead.

To far away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/05/05
The hotel is to far away from NYC. It takes a good hour or more depending on traffic to get to the city. Rooms had mildew and bathrooms not very clean. Some staff members very rude!!! If visiting for NYC would not recommend. It's to far to travel and a bad area to stay in.

front desk nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/05
The late night check-in employees are very rude. I took a group of 40 people, 10 arrived early in the afternoon and were treated very nicely. The remainder of my group arrived very late (1:30). The employee at the front decks acted as if she did not know how to check in my group and did not care that half of my group were small children that needed to get to a bed. I can not comment on the cleanliness or any other aspect of the hotel, because we did not stay and I would not recommend this hotel to any other group traveling to N.Y.

Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/05
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times on buisness. Have always enjoyed my stays. Resturant is great people are friendly and helpful. Food is great. Workout area and pool clean and well maintained. Would recommend it for anyone in the Newark area.

Decent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/04
It's clean, rooms are spacious, staff is nice. The location is convenient not just for the airport, but also if you're visiting NYC. In the summer with alot more daylight, this hotel makes a whole lot more sense compared to staying in a NYC hotel. It's much cheaper, likely cleaner, you get more space and an indoor pool (if that suits you).
