Frances Street Bottle Inn, Key West

Great location, excellent service, extremely clean and well kept. Stayed only for a weekend but will definitely come back. Quiet area and great breakfast. TWO TUMBS UP.

Their local knowledge is the best. They can steer you to out of the way places that only the locals know. The staff will help set up or plan your activities.They know the best local places to eat. I said I wanted to rent a Harley and explore the other keys, and Dennis had it set up in 10 minutes. You will feel like family pretty quick. It also has the best front porch in all of Key West. I mentioned in passing that I wanted to learn to scuba dive, and when I got there, they had found a class for me. It went off without a hitch. Rent a bike from the Bottle Inn. It is the BEST way and the BEST place to discover Key West. Want to learn to sail. Dennis at the Bottle Inn set that up for me, also. you win't be disappointed.

The 140.00 a night is wrong. The guy who answered the phone said that is two to four years old that the rate was 48.00 more than that listed on the web.

The Frances Bottle Inn was a new place for me to stay in Key West. I've been to Key West dozens and dozens of times and I really liked this B & B. The rooms were very clean and well lit with windows everywhere. The bed was extremely comfortable and they have satellite TV, too, so if you are wanting to watch TV while going to sleep, you have a large selection of channels to choose from. The bathroom isn't large, but it isn't small, either. The shower is a bit small, but just how much room does a person need to shower (it works fine). There was plenty of water pressure and hot water (I've read the opposite, but found it to not be true). A breakfast of fruits and pastries is served in the morning and while we were there for three days, Dennis was very helpful with suggestions and making any necessary phone calls to confirm things for us. I will definitely return to the Frances Bottle Inn, again. The location is about a 10 minute (at the most) walk to the heart of Old Town, where everything is happening and only a couple minute walk away from the old cemetery which is a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours exploring.

This was not only our first trip to Key West, but, our first experience with a bed and breakfast. We loved every minute of it and are already making plans to go back. The staff was awesome and very helpful. They were able to make reservations for us at a restaurant where we had one of the most memorable dinners. The Inn was very romantic and comfortable. It was convenient to everything without being too noisy.

Good B&Bs are on almost every street in this part of Key West but finding a place where the employees are true professionals is a rare exception. The staff are ensuring the continuation under the new owner of great service that makes one feel welcome and comfortable that was begun under the previous owners. The property is looking forward to a complete refit though the accomodations were perfectly fine in the current condition. Gathering for the happy hour drinks and snacks are a great way to meet other guests and share stories. The location is perfect with an excellent restaurant (Cafe Sole) right next door and Duval Street a short walk. I would definitely return.

It was our first visit to Key West and the the town and B&B exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a wonderful place to stay that is clean, quiet and friendly the Frances Street Bottle Inn is the place! The B&B has 8 rooms with a very comfortable tropical atmospheres. What makes The Bottle Inn great is the staff (Marketa, Dennis and owner MaryBeth). They make you feel extremely welcome and never seem intrusive at the same time. Free high speed internet access, Free beach passes and beach towels, Free soda, yogurt and so muck mere all included in the room rate. Wow!! Plus, if you're looking to take a ride on bikes, they have them too. We will definitely be staying at the The Bottle Inn again

I was originally drawn to this B&B because of their webpage and the commentary folks had provided about their stay; as this was our honeymoon I was looking for something special and was certainly not dissapointed in the least. The room (number 8, didn't get a chance to view the other rooms) was fantastic and the service was just as good. I had only expected to stay a single night in Key West but due in no small part to our experience at the Bottle Street Inn we decided to stay longer.. despite the fact they did not have any rooms available, the staff at the Bottle Street went out of their way to find similar accomodations just down the road and continued to do everything in their power to assist. Also, one of the more amazing meals I've ever enjoyed was at the Cafe Sole' just across the street.. would recommend this accomodation to anyone..

Fool Me Once, Shame On You, Fool Me Twice, Shame on Me. I won't be fooled twice. Overall, the Bottle Inn was a disappointment. While the staff is very nice, the cleanliness of my room and the noise from Frances Street were very annoying. The Inn itself is very attractive and open. The Inn Keeper and Marketta are both very nice and very helpful - I did not meet Dennis. My room on the first floor was very small while the rug under the bed had not been vacuumed in a very long time. As I placed my shoes under the bed I noticed lots of debris that had accumulated over time. The sink in the bathroom was large; however, there was mold growing around the pipes under the fixture. Sometimes it’s just the attention to details that can make a stay that much better. And, when you’re paying $179 a night, you come to expect just a little more than this. Additionally, it’s important to note that there was very little hot water for showers. The Inn’s location is just fine. You’re only several blocks from Duval Street where most of the Town seems to gather around sunset. While the Inn does not have a parking lot, I found plenty of spaces, on the streets around the Inn, to park. Honestly, you probably don’t need a car. Key West is a party town and overall a lot of fun. While I will probably return to Key West, I won’t reserve a room at the Bottle Inn….but that’s just me.

I love this place. The rooms are always clean and well appointed. Most of the rooms have their own outside seating areas (all have private baths). Delicious breakfast buffet and wonderful fun in the evening at the happy hour. This is an old historic building that was once the setting for a television show. One of the features that I find so appealing is the big front porch--I love sitting here having a cold drink after having been out all day. The staff are probably the best in Key West. They remember you from visit to visit and are very helpful making arrangements and/or recommendations. Mary Beth is the owner and she is on-site and is always available to answer questions. It was she who recommended what is now my favorite restaurant. I have stayed other places in Key West, but this is the place that I will always return to. The Inn is near enough to everything, yet far enough removed from the noise of Duval St. that you can get a good night's sleep. Another thing that I like about the Inn is that it has some beautiful locally painted furniture in it--so much more fun to see something so out of the ordinary.
