would take another trip to Detroit just to stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
I've stayed at a lot of first-class hotels—including W, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton—and this is right up there. It's certainly one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in, design-wise. The lobby, the rooms, and, of course, the convenience for the airport—all were fantastic. I only wish I could've stayed longer, as I was just there overnight before catching an early flight out on Northwest. Simply wonderful.

I guess we got a steal.
By Lorenzo, 05/24/06
We paid 85bucks with an internet rate found on Priceline I believe... Awesome deal let me tell you. The room was your regular hotel room, but it had a really nice looking chaise lounge by the window that was perfect for my girlfriend to throw all her stuff on. The bed was absolutely amazing. After I stripped down some of the pillows it was the best sleep imaginable. Less clothes the better, that way you can feel the soft sheets. For some reason I thought because the room was all "Westinish" that the pool and hot tub would be like a palace somewhere, but it was your standard indoor pool. They had nice arrangements on the tables how they do the towels, but the overall appearance environment was very concrete and bleak. I read that they have a sauna, but I was unable to find it. Parking cost is an arm and a leg and you either have to walk a ton or walk across a busy airport road haha. As you would expect, the restaurant costs a ton, we didn't eat there. The bar was realllly nice Monday morning to watch some sportscenter. If I had more time and money I would have enjoyed it a lot more than I already did. And I actually love looking at the runways and airplanes, so the view was great.

We had an early flight out made so this was the perfect place to stay. Quiet, convenient and luxurious ar the best way to describe it.

Love the bed! Love the Bed! Love the bed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/06
Love the bed! The only thing that I didn't like was, my mother was with my husband and I and our two kids. And we could have used a pull-out.

terrible service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/10/06
Room service delivered cold pizza. For two mornings, no wake up call was made, though we asked for one. Our order for breakfast was "misplaced" along with four others on our floor one morning. I don't need 7 a.m. breakfast delivered to me at 8:30. They forgot one of my bags when it came time to leave. At least the valet didn't crash my car. $15 for a hamburger? Why ... because you are stuck in the middle of an airport with no access to the terminal restaurants unless you've got an airline ticket so we can charge what we want. Soft beds don't make up for bad service and overly-expensive food.

it did the job quite well
By KathleenR, 10/04/05
I am a germaphobe, hence the average cleanliness rating. Overall, it was fine and the location was swell. Have all the fun you want without ever worrying you'll be late for your flight...

That place is off the hook
By Cynthia, 10/04/05
I love THE WESTIN DETROIT. The staff there is wonderful. The Heavenly bed is out of this world. I am planning my family reunion there July 2006. I want my family to have a dream come true, so I chose THE WESTIN DETROIT. The decor is outstanding. Can't wait to spend another night there... Cynthia

Best Beds in Town
By sup, 09/26/05
Bar none, Westin has the most consistent quality in sleep experience. The pillows are soft and firm, the rooms are tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean and the service is excellent.

Off The Hook!
By JudithS, 09/25/05
The service was superb. Westin Hotel was very accommodating. Our room was beautiful, especially the view! Westin Hotels must be quite proud of their fine establishments. I'm sure Westin Hotels critiques their businesses carefully. Thank You for giving me the opportunity to tell you in detail what a great experience I had at the Westin Hotel.
