ibis styles Luzern City / Open 23 jan 2012, Lucerne

We were in Luzern only 1 day and a half (I think two days are enough without visiting museums but having trips around to gain nice sightseeing i.e.: Pilatus � Rigi � Burgenstock - Stanserhorn). We spent only one night in the NH Luzern hotel and the global review is really positive. We paid 135 CHF for a double room (we found also an extra removable bed for the baby � but he slept with us � sigh!) and 15 CHF for the private parking (no free parking near the old town). The hotel is in the centre exactly at the beginning of the old town (that is the shopping centre too) and is easy to reach also from the railway station. Luzern nicest places are concentrated in the old town and on the banks of the lakes so they are very easy to visit. Notes: All the reception personnel was really efficient and helpful (3 people). The same for breakfast and dinner. The place is quiet. Our room (489) was comfortable even if not very big (enough for two people � quite small for three even if you probably will only sleep there ...). The room (and the hotel) were clean and the temperature was pleasant (I was a worried a bit from other reviews) and was possible to control the heating. The furnishings was new and effective. Only the air phone and the frigo-bar were missing but there is an ice dispenser in the corridor. Note that they don�t make any �half-pension� treatment so you have to pay �a la carte� for dinner. The breakfast (buffet) was quite rich and good. Definitely a very good price for the quality provided.
