Customer Service
By RONNIEF, 4/3/12
We forgot our expensive laptop upon checking out at this location. Didn't realize until arriving in Charleston,S.C. which was 170 miles away. Called and employee who said they would ship out next day and charge our credit card. Called that morning to confirm. Story now was the clerk will have to arrange with owner. I asked to be contacted/speak with owner. Would not provide me with that information. We was told to call back at 2 PM. and the clerk would have talked to the owner. All along their approach was we don't want to deal with this. We called at 2 PM.,now we were told to call UPS to see if they could pick up for us. We called UPS. They would only pick up if boxed, labeled, etc. Motel staff said they didn't hava a box or offer any help/option. Finally, I told the helpless clerk we would have to drive 340 miles round trip to retrieve. There was no offering of any options from their side. I lastly tried an actual UPS store in Brunswick. They picked up the laptop, packaged and worked with us so kindly. They were truly a life saver. Great customer service. This saved us the gas and the time we didn't have to drive there ourselves. The laptop arrived safely and exactly as told by the UPS store. The lack of help and peace of mind not afforded to us by Microtel was very distressing. We will never use Microtel chain again. Lodger be aware. Hopefully this was just this units response and not others in the chain. Oh yes, breakfast was totally unexciting and the area was unkept.

Small Room, but updated building
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/09
The building was newer, but our room with one queen bed was small and would not have been adequate for more than one night stay for us. The breakfast was enough, including begals, bread, muffins, juice, coffee, cereal, but no hot food. The bed was not very comfortable. We had to change rooms because the air conditioner in our first room did not work, but the staff quickly gave us a different room.

Very clean hotel and well kept
By Vic, 3/25/09
We spent three nights at this hotel. The rooms were very clean(great housekeepers) and the location was great. It is close to the interstate but away from all the noise. Also, only 10 mins. away from Saint Simons Island. The rates were very reasonable ($69) for the nice accommodation offered, continental breakfast was good & staff was quite polite. Overall, a great facility. We will surely use this place again on our next trip.

The worst hotel stay ever, don't do it.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/09
I stayed at this hotel in Brunswick, GA for 30 days while i was attending some training at FLETC. While checking in i noticed that the hotel was not well kept and it was very short staffed. when i first entered the room i noticed that their was no microwave and i had two beds just for 1 person. the bathroom had nats flying around the everyone on the tv looked red and could not be fixed because the hotel mgr had the main remote. their wa know laundry room and house keeoing only worked till noon on the weekends. this wasw brought to the mgr's attn and he just brushed it off some of us offered to pay the difference of the rooms for better ones but he refused to accomadate us. this hotel was a nightmare!!!!!!

Very Satisfied
By Tom, 4/17/08
We were completely satisfied with our two-night stay. The hotel is far enough from both I-95 and Hwy 25 that traffic noise was not audible. Staff was helpful and pleasant, and the room was comfortable and well appointed. WiFi in the room. Complimentary breakfast did not include hot foods, but it did have a fair selection of cold cereal, fruit, breads, and beverages. All in all, a very good value.

Will stay here everytime we come to Brunswick
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/4/07
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice rooms and very clean. Accomidating to needs. Nice location and conveinent to shopping, restraunts etc. Grounds are nice. The hotel management are very nice people who aim to please their guests! Not noisy at all and I stayed on the first floor. Room was neat everytime I came in and the group I was with was there for a little over a week. Much nicer than the other Micro hotels in the area. The only thing I would add would be another computer work station area, maybe private from the front lobby area.

Privacy...Security...What is that???
By dixie gurl, 10/19/07
Clean...yes. Location...Good. Value...Good. Privacy...What is that? I mean, why bother using the "do not disturb" sign...they just come in your room anyways. It doesn't matter if you are there sleeping or not there at all. I guess they don't care about their guests privacy...not to mention that same person lives in the room above the one I was staying in and did nothing but make a racket from 9:30pm til say midnight...everynight. I had to get up at 4:30 in the morning...not good for me. Security...not if you need to use the internet. All unsecured. Don't try to pay any bills or use any personal info over the internet during your stay. I can say that there were to young ladies that did there best to make the rest of my stay comfortable. One changed my room and the other took care of the "do not disturb" part.
