Going down hill
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/09
I have stayed in this Residence 3 times over the last year and half. The first time, I was very pleased with the room; its like a small apartment, has all the amenities, very clean, all furniture in great shape. The 2nd time, the closet door was falling apart and the bed was kind of lumpy, but everything else was fine. I did notice a difference from the first visit, but still OK. The 3rd time has been the worse. The room had a funny smell to it - like an "old lady smell", pardon the reference; the rug, desk chair and couch were stained and appeared worn. The bed was awful to sleep in and the closet doors again were in even worse shape than the past room. I love Marriotts but Residence Inns are going to pot. I stayed 2 nights and left. p.s. I have stayed in other Residences as well, Jackson Mississippi and one somewhere else that I cannot remember now. They always look great from the outside but beware of the insides - it is a 50/50 chance. I do not think I will be staying in them any longer - there is usually always Hiltons/ Hamptons.

Barely OK

Suite was fine. But there was no hot water one morning. Had to skip a shower that day. Also, the elevator was broken briefly. Breakfast was OK.

Inexcusable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/19/06
When I pay more than $200 a night for a hotel I expect to be able to take a hot shower. I couldn't, and I didn't get so much as an apology for it. Disgusting.
