Reminiscent of a Days Inn
We booked our reservation based on the reviews that we read here but I still was not prepared for the sparcity of the room. The people there were very nice, even being kind enough to wait up for us once they were notified that our flight had problems and we would not get in until 3am. It is a lovely building with the spanish influenced architecture and tile floors. But aside from a tv, bed, and desk there was little more to the room. The sink was outside of the bathroom, much like you would find in a Days Inn type of motel. Dispensers with liquid soap hung on the wall by the sink and on the wall inside the tub.
We were supposed to spend three nights at the Cosulado, but I just needed a little more ambiance. I was also a little take aback by the gnetleman's club and massage parlor that were next door. After the first night we checked out and Domingo was wonderful enough to send us to an Inn that was also inexpensive, but closer to the beach.
If you simply need a place to stay for the night and don't plan to spend much time in the room, the Cosulado would be fine. But if you plan to have a longer stay and may occassionally want to hang out in your room, there are other inns, just as inexpensive and closer to the beach, that are worth checking out.
