AAA Bayview & River Inn, Kodiak

I cannot say enough about how special our visit was to AAA Bayview Inn. The suite was clean, well-equipped, centrally located, and the view from our room on Monashka Bay was phenomenal! But what really made our Kodiak stay scial was the owner Leslee. She bent over backwards to ensure that my family's trip to Kodiak was exceptional. My children (13 and 10) adored her, and my husband and I felt like we were staying with a friend. In my rush to get the family packed and on the ferry for Homer, I accidently forgot to empty a drawer with several pairs of pants in it. Leslee was absolutely incredible and mailed every item to me in South Carolina. There is no question about it... we all look forward to our next stay with Leslee and Capt Rick at the Bayview Inn!

I had to travel to Kodiak to work in town. Since I travel often for work it was a pleasant surprise to find this place. Altho no meals are served, Leslie has a stocked (private) kitchenette. I couldn't see much of a view (I worked ea. day and evenings were dark in the winter) BUT having this private suite/lodging made my work to Kodiak SO much more enjoyable. I rate this a 6 star out of a 5 star !!!! AND she gave me a discount because I am alaskan resident

I only was able to stay at the River Inn on this trip, I am surely glad that I found this unbelievable hospitable stay. If I return I will be staying at their Bed and Breakfast on Monashka bay, I have so much fish from my visit, well I don't know what to do with it. My wife is sick of king salmon?! Can you believe that! Never though it would happen myself. Just great fishing all day and then we come back to a 5 star meal of crab stuffed halibut. Captain Rick needs to open up a restaraunt, if I don't return to fish, I will surely return for the food! Just excellent, not to mention not a day without those AWESOME KINGS! They're hogs out there!
