George Inlet Lodge, Ketchikan

THIS WAS ONE PLACE NOT TO MISS I HAD A BLAST LIFTING THE CRAB POD AND THE CRAB WAS THE BEST I HAVE EVER EATEN AND WHEN YOU TAKE THE BUS UP TO THE LODGE YOU SEE EAGLES EVERYWHERE FEEDING ON THE SALMON ADN THE WATER FALLS YOU SEE ARE AWESOME

Anyone that misses "George Inlet Lodge" all you can eat crab feast is making a huge error! The "Fresh Alaskan King Crab" was totally AMAZING!! We took the scenic Float plane flight for 20-25 minutes and landed right at the Lodge dock, then ate crab until we were soooo full. Then we had some Great blueberry cheese cake! Also the appetizers of cheese, smoked salmon and salad! You've NEVER tasted such succulent fresh crab, unless you've been to George Inlet Lodge!!

One of the highlights of our cruise was taking the float plane excursion to this lodge. The crab was hands-down the best food we had on the cruise and also the BEST crab I've ever had. Service was great, and the lodge was charming. We had the private dining room, where the smoked salmon appetizer was also tasty. I brought home the recipe for the green salad dressing (orange vinaigrette). I saw a humming bird at the feeder, and the drive back had us seeing a dozen eagles and several water falls.

This was a relaxing trip; fun pulling pots & checking out the crabbing. Eating the crabs was great too...all you could eat & yummy! Definitely would do this again!

Hands down the best excursion we took from our cruise to Alaska. I was amazed that they kept piling on all the delicious crab we could eat! We weren't rushed like some other excursions and we enjoyed the boat trip and crabbing demonstration as part of it too!

Crab was wonderful and plenty of it. The young lady who served us gave instructions on how to pick out the meat ( we inland, lower 48 needed that) and kept our plates and glasses full! Great food! Great place to go!

This was a great excursion and I would highly recommend to anyone going to Ketchikan. The people working at the lodge were fantastic. I was afraid I'd be hungry after the meal, not knowing how much crab we would get, but they just kept piling crab legs on our plate (and refilling our wine glasses) until we couldn't eat anymore. Absolutely a wonderful experience. The floatplane ride was the icing on the cake!
