La Push Ocean Park Resort, Forks

The view and the beach cannot be beat - anywhere. Ask for one of the "new" cabins which are right on the beach and situated to insure privacy. Every cabin is beautifully designed to take maximum advantage of the view. Units come with a modern kitchen, fireplace and jetted tub - each of which can claim a world-class beach view. And it's quiet - except for the not too distant roar of the breakers on the beach. The nearby beaches are almost deserted on weekdays - a short path from the beach (first beach) takes you to second beach and about 2 miles of sea stacks, driftwood, sand and caves. On my last trip a young eagle landed on a rock 15' above me and didn't flinch as I walked by. I had the beach to myself that day - not even tracks left from previous visitors. The village has a resturant serving decent food that is closed much of the year. When its closed your next closest meal is at the end of the 17 mile trip into Forks - and a few not very good eating options. When I go, I bring my own food and combine lots of outdoor exercise with a feast three times a day. I think you'll like this place too.
