Drove past this place late in the day and the lights looked inviting, went around the corner to turn around and saw a main street out of an old movie. Decided to check the hotel out and ended up staying for the night. Price of a room fit my budget and found the room comfortable, clean and warm. Nice decor - not overdone like some old places I've stayed. Hotel owner had lots of maps and information about the area that I don't think I would have found otherwise, had a great breakfast at a cafe on main street and was on my way. Hotel is right on highway but there was no highway noise (not a lot of traffic at night) Lots of fun historical stuff throughout the building (I got to peek in a couple of the other rooms - including a large suite that would be fun for a group of friends. The location was really good for me because I was traveling on Highway 2 from Seattle to Spokane - would have stayed in Leavenworth but it was crowded with Octoberfest crowds. Bypassed Wenatchee for no other reason than didn't want to get off the highway and it was still early enough to drive to Spokane if I didn't come across anything I liked. As it was it worked out really well and is one of those places I'll keep in mind for the next trip.
