North Shore Escape good for couples

We stayed at the Cove Point Lodge for one night during late November in the second-level Point Room - which is the corner room with two walls of windows overlooking Lake Superior. We paid around $250 per night for the room, but this price came with a nice big bed, a not-quite-big-enough jacuzzi in the bathroom, and a little romance package. The romance package was a bottle of champagne, some chocolates, and a breakfast basket with a newspaper.
Our room was only about 100 feet from the shore, and the walk along the rocks is impossible to forget.
The lobby was great for sitting around by the stone fireplace, and the DVDs available were suprising current.
There were a lot of affordable rooms on the other side of the lodge, which would be good for students and economy travel.
The restaurant was small, but good for a couples- fair prices, great food, and good wine selection.
The only thing we didn't like was the price, but we're not complaining too much.
