Palouse Inn, Moscow

This was a gem! I am so glad we found this place. The front desk help was the best. The room was clean, nice TV, microwave and ref! Easy continental breakfast. Love it. I have already booked for Mom's weekend @ WSU!

This place needs some TLC. Room was adequate, at best. Couldn't help but laugh at the "Save the planet" placard next to the sink about leaving your towels on the floor (to wash), versus the rack (to save), especially when it took almost a full minute for the water to get warm ! Old blood stains on the sheets, no kidding !! You couldn't lock the dead bolt from the outside, due to moisture swelling, or the seal was too thick. I could lock it from the inside, if I put my weight on the door.(The next door tenant had the same complaint). Forgot to mention...they reamed us for $130 per night (including tax) during grad weekend. And their continental breakfast ? Cold,hard bagels,old fruit,some near expired yogurt, coffee was hot(1 out of 4 ain't bad). It's located right behind McDonald's, which is about the only saving grace of the whole adventure, if U can count it as such......Parents... when grad weekend comes, be patient. There will be LOTS of cancellations, ask the hotels if they have a cancellation list, about 1/2 of them do. I had 6 out of 9 places that had such list call me back with openings. In short, bypass this establishment..When I pulled up the ad tonight, it said $55 per night. Did I mention gouging ?

I stayed here one time while visiting my son at U of I. The room was average, but the location is great - close to the university. Not a lot of extras, but I'd stay here again. Reasonable rates and friendly staff.
