A step back in time at the Clifwood Motel
So that you understand my motivation for choosing Clifwood motel I feel I should explain the reasons why a little more in depth: My husband and I recently got back from Hawaii where we stayed at the Park Shores of Waikiki to celebrate our 25th anniversary and what caught my eye about Park Shores was that it was a hotel noted for it's "Old World Charm". Well since being back to the mainland here in Minnesota with the busy busy of our everyday lives and the finishing touches on my album due for release in the coming months my husband and I wanted to take a weekend away to regain our senses locally and so we decided on a weekend away to Little Falls for it's vast historical appeal, and prior to going away like I always do before we travel about, I searched the internet for motels that "fit the occassion" and I wanted something simple and tucked away, you know something other than the usual chain motels, anyways I found Clifwood motel and after reading the reviews I thought, this sounds delightful. I called to place my reservation for the weekend and while doing so I spoke with Shelly who was just so very pleasant over the phone and I must tell you when arriving there Shelly was just as pleasant in person the entire weekend, in other words the real thing!
What I was looking for according to the reviews that caught my attention was a motel with what I call "Old World Charm" well Clifwood is that and more! When my husband opened the door to our room it was like going back 20 plus years when we were first married, it was simply everything I was yearning for. If your looking for all the fluff and bluff of a fancy motel this isn't it but if your looking for a quiet, clean and comfortable stay this is it!
Today so much is about "Bling" that I feel so much is lost of yester year that can be so soothing to the soul and Clifwood was very soothing to our souls. Our room was very inviting, clean and the beds so comfortable. My husband and I look forward to making Clifwood motel room 17 our own little hideaway each and everytime we want to get away from it all and as I like to refer to it all as "A step back in time at the Clifwood Motel".
