The Ocean Lodge, Cannon Beach

We stayed one night at The Ocean Lodge in September 2009 and had a WONDERFUL time. The rooms are beautiful, clean and modern. It is located right on the beach. We brought our dog and there are complimentary poop sacks and a dog washing station with doggie shampoo at the exit to the beach. There is also a big lodge with a neat library where we played games all night. I can't wait to go back next weekend for 3 nights!

Perfect place to take your special someone. I did not see a lot of kids around the lodge and it was very quiet. I will certainly go back as soon as I can.

Very luxurious by beach standards, extremely welcoming and friendly staff, upscale log cabin feel with glorious views of the ocean. The rooms are spotless and comfy.

We have 2 well-behaved dogs and many times when we go on vacation, we have to settle for a lower class hotel. Not so with The Ocean Lodge! My husband and I felt like we were in a first class resort! The entire lodge is beautiful, the rooms huge, and the staff exceptional. Best of all, they not only tolerated our dogs, but welcomed them as guests too. Our room was only a few yards from the ocean with a spectacular view and a dedicated dog-wash area. Our neighbors were friendly yet we had plenty of privacy. Everybody (people and pets) had a wonderful time and left feeling very relaxed and pampered. This is our new favorite get-away!

We went back to Cannon Beach, OR for the 2nd time in April 2006 and this lodge was just in perfect location, at a beach front, day or night you can hear the waves crushing! Even with the TV on! You fall asleep hearing the waves and wake up in the morning hearing the wave! We were at a corner room where we can see the south, west, and north view of the ocean. The seagulls sometimes stopped at the balcony. Though this lodge are all view rooms. We just had to get out of the door, a couple of steps, then we're on the sandy beach! That one bedroom accommodation had so much space for us ( 4 adults and 1 5 y/o), big hideaway sofabed and three or four more large chairs in front of the fireplace and the separate bedrm had this comfortable bed with lots of comfy pillows. No odor in the kitchen and bath; neat and clean. Just love the library and reading areas at the lobby. Homemade cookies and coffee 24 hrs/day and wide selection of free continental breakfast. The only thing they don't have in this lodge is a restaurant. That was fine with us because Cannon Beach has several fine restaurants nearby this lodge. The first time we went to Cannon Beach we did not want to pay more than $100 for the room and we were about 1 or 2 blocks away from the beach, had to go for a long walk to see the haystack rock, but this time we paid the bucks but it was well worth the price.

Service was great. Hotel had a great feel to it....very cozy lodge-loke setting. A little spendy but such a treat for a unforgetable romantic birthday.
