Hearthstone Inn, Cannon Beach

This place is nothing like the web page shows. Very dirty and smelly. The bed was rock hard and we left after only being there a few minutes. We tried to get our money back and they were very rude. We found a place to stay down the road that cost less and was right on the beach. So, don't stay here if you are looking for a clean place to stay.

My wife and I came to the hearth stone inn for our anniversary, big mistake!! Very dirty floors, stinks like pets, I had allergy's from the pet hair all over, and way way over priced. Do your self a favor and stay away from this place. We absolutely could not stand it here so we ended up leaving the day we got there, and found a new place to stay for the weekend

If you choose to stay at this place be warned. Dirty..I mean dirty carpets, a couch so old and dirty my dog wouldn't even lay on it, Rock hard beds with old blankets, Stand up shower no tub, Smells like campfire, a ceiling fan that shook so much I felt like it was going to fall down every time I turned it on, tv so small and far away from the bed I needed a glasses to see it,,, and heck ....the deadbolt didn't even lock. Take it from me this place is bad.

Just because he have a dog doesn't mean that we don't expect a clean room!! The pictures made the room look warm and inviting, but they fail to show that the carpet is filthy and tattered, so much that I wouldn't walk on the carpet unless I had my shoes on. As soon as we opened the door the place smelled of campfire. We have stayed many places with our mini dachshund and have never encountered such a dirty room. When we told the front desk our concerns, she just said that they would be renovating in the spring and wrote it down on a pad of paper. No comp or anything. It may be one of the dumpiest places in Cannon Beach and for a few dollars more you can get a much nicer room and better service some where else. I guess my husband and I can look back at our one year annivesary and laugh about the time we stayed at the sh*t-stone inn at cannon beach!

Wonderful homey studios that are nice size with kitchens and fireplces. Just be warned they provide you with a duraflame log for everynight of your stay and you can go to the market and get firewood to add, I would add the extra wood sparingly due to little ventalation in the room in can get smokey and set off the smoke detector. other than that very nice and just a short 1 block walk to the beach. Durring the summer I recomend a midnight walk to the beach where you can see the sun still setting with the moon shining bright very nice site to see. Will return here again and again, plus they have pet friendly rooms which is nice if ya dont want to leave your 4 legged friends at home.

You feel like you have your own little cabin just a block from the beach. The rooms are warm and welcoming with wood fireplaces and a basket full of beach towels. I've stayed here in winter and summer. I was upset to leave on both occasions.
