Our family has eaten there for 60 years. Although not from the area, I had to try it again as it is a family tradition. Since it is under new management, there are quirks to work out but my husband and I had a great prime rib dinner at Richard's. The only negative was that the broccoli, which was more of a garnish than a regular sized veggie, was cold. Also the prime rib should have been hot and it was room temperature. The flavor of the meat was wonderful however. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed being there. We will be back when we come up north again and we urge others to give it a try.
What a waste of a ATV trip. Outdated facility with NO ammenities, poorly maintained rooms. Although the price was low (as were my expectations) it still wasn't any place to stay. My daughter cried all night because it was "so gross" and my wife stopped talking to me for three days. My guess would be that the motel was about 60+ old and has never been updated. The "supper club" was expensive and the food was only marginal. If we hadn't been staying in the motel, we would not have bothered with the restaurant after the first evening.
