It is great to have our expectation exceeded!!! Village View is pretty on the outside, clean and well decorated on the inside. Everything works!! The beds are so comfortable. Location is great. The continental breakfast was just what we needed. But, most of all, it was the people. Kathy made us feel at home the minute we arrived. She gave us great dining recommendations and made a special trip to our room to advise us of an impending sunset and where to view it.
Angie was great to visit with and she makes the best coffee this side of Dunkin Donuts.
If you like a warm comfortable atmosphere, Village View is the place to stay. We certainly plan to stay there on our next visit to Door County. We will recommend Village View to our friends.

We liked the room and the location. However we put our name on a waiting Oct '10 for the following Oct'11 ( Fall Festival).I called once in early spring to see if there were any cancellations. The lady at the desk was friendly and told me we were first on the list should there be any cancellations. Last week(July I called; the owner answered. I inquired about cancellations. He told me to forget about getting in that weekend . He has two regular customers who want a room and he would not give it to us over them.In other words, waiting lists don't mean anything to to him. He also told me to stop calling to see if there was a cancellation. I know he's not that busy the rest of the year. I would never give him business again.
I was looking for a good value along the Door County shore, and found it in the Village View Inn. The room was incredibly clean, had everything we needed (i.e. fridge, tv). Even had a good Wi-Fi connection that isn't listed among the amenities on their website (but is on Door County's tourism site).
Location, location, location. The Inn is walking distance to everything you'd want to see in Sister Bay: the Shore Park, Al Johnson's Restaurant, even Pirate Cove mini-golf up on route 42. It's also within easy driving distance to Fish Creek and Peninsula Park, the Northport Ferry, Cana Island, etc.
They offer pastries and coffee in the morning, which was enough to get our days started right. All in all, very happy with our stay, would definitely go back!
The Village View typifies exactly what Sister Bay is all about. It is laid back, clean, comfortable and unassuming. The location is convenient. The service is outstanding and the owners are most cordial. Our most recent stay in October of 07, makes our 4th or 5th at the Village View. Each room has been great and each stay seems to be better than the one before.
Having discovered the Village View by accident several years ago, we have never felt the need or desire to stay anywhere else.
