A Little Home away from Home
Great little family operated Motel. The staff is as friendly as you would expect to find in small town America and Maine and the accomodations match the friendliness. As a business traveller who spends well over 120 days on the road each year, it is surprising as well as enjoyable to find a non-chain motel like this. If you are expecting a Hampton or Holiday Inn Express, well it may not be set up like them but it is just as comfortable. The room is clean, well appointed (in a homey and folksy way) and considering what they charge for business and leisure alike a bargain. They have a comfortable continental breakfast and a nice little room to eat it in. There are also soda and snack machines as ell. You need to remember that this is located in the small Vilage of Stratton. This is not the place you want to stay if you're looking for night life, a variety of restaurants, or a in-pool or other amenities. But if yo're up there skiing at one of the lodges and they have no room at the inn-remember these guys. (hence the name-Spillover Motel) If you're here for business at the Industrial Park and want a quaint, comfortable, and relaxing room-stay with these guys. I have elite status at 4 hotel chains. But each time I come up to this area, the Spillover is where I stay. Remembering its limitations, you won't either.

Ehhhhhhh!
By rj, 2/20/12
Its very close to sugarloaf and great for the price but to be honest the women who worked at the front desk came off as a little creepy she asked for our names car types license plate numbers. Also the locks on the door are a little disfunctional this motel kind of reminds me of a motel i saw in a steven king horor movie.

We loved the location of the Spillover, the staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean. Breakfast was just enough to get you started.....the oatmeal was delicious! Two exceptional ski resorts nearby....excellent snowmobiling....great rates....What more could you ask??? We'll definitely be back!

Great Value
By CX5, 1/1/10
We tried the Spillover once as an alternative to the expensive Sugarloaf Hotel and its silly "must stay Friday and Sat night reservation policy." We have been going back to the Spillover ever since. The Spillover is spotless, modern, with a VERY pleasant staff. I stay at Marriott or Four Seasons type hotels around the US and Europe 50-60 nights a year. The Spillover is neither, but my family and I think of it as a clean, local motel similar to a brand new Hampton Inn or Courtyard Marriott, but considerably better.

Another year and we are back!
By MicheleS, 7/31/08
Each year my family travels to Stratton to visit family that live there. We stay at the Spillover Motel. We have been doing this for close to 17 years now. It is clean, easy to find, local to the Mountain and Rangley, as well as other attractions in that area. It is a no fuss place to stay with friendly service and fair pricing. If it wasn't a nice place to stay, I'd be in Rangley paying a lot more we wouldn't keep going back. I would gladly recommend it to others and have.

No frills but no problems; good location for our trip
By Brock, 3/9/07
Please note: My wife and I stayed here for a May 2002 weekend, thus conditions might have changed since. Although it is a basic motel, it was clean and offered morning coffee and pastries. No problems with reservations or services. The rate and location (aided by the motel's web site info) were the reasons we chose Spillover.
