Cape Cod Motel, Egg Harbor

We have been staying at the Cape Cod Motel for 20 years. Everytime we go up there the place just keeps getting better and better. It is so peaceful and relaxing staying there. It is probably the cleanest motel I have every stayed in. This is our 11th stay and we will be going back agin. I love the beds they are so comfortable. The coffee in the morning is probably the best motel coffee that I every drank. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The rates are so reasonable and affordable. We wont stay any where else.

I love this place! It is quiet and comfortable. It is within walking distance of all the shopping, beaches, dining areas and grocery store. My family has been going there ever since the Anschutz's bought it. They have done a great job remodeling the whole motel. My family enjoys the picinic area where we cook-out each visit. The playground area is great for the children. I am not sure where the price of a $130.00 came from a previous guest, but I have never paid that kind of money before. I think that he/she must have confused the Cape Cod with all the other motels in Egg Harbor. The Anschutz's are very friendly and have become like family to us. I am speaking for all the other quests that stay there as well. Overall, it has a great and friendly atmosphere. The Anschutz's are also very well informed of all the great places to eat (with great prices) and hot spots to go for shows and entertainment. I love this place and I will be going back year after year.

We came across this motel by accident last summer and have been going back ever since. We get up to Door County about 5 times during the summer and have stayed noplace else. As far as the comment of someone else about the price?? We have never paid that kind of price, but I am sure there was a special holiday circumstance. That is not a typical price. Its not fancy, but its a bed and a shower. And the patio furniture offered outside is great to look at that dark 'up North' stary sky. We love it.

The motel was a little better than camping and we were expecting better for $130 a night (July 2008), The owners are very friendly and nice but that does not make up for the lack of basic amenities for the price paid. The rooms are small and damp, the bathroom is small, the towels are slightly bigger than handkerchieves. Air conditioning was hardly working even cranked up to the max. The price was outrageous for what this motel has to offer.
