Pray's Motel, Newport

Very clean rooms, friendly and quick service, convenient location to to I-95 if you're headed to Bangor or Waterville or Farmington or really anywhere. Nice set up with a front room our family used as a dining/livingroom then pulled the couch out into a bed at night for the kids while we had a separate bedroom all in the same unit. The bed, as well as the sofa bed, was very comfortable. This was our second time and we will not only return we will also encourage friends to give Pray's Motel a try!

We were pleased with the cleanliness and hominess of our "suite" at Pray's Motel. We enjoyed having the separate living area, and using the coffee pot with New England Coffee provided. The heating system in each room works great. A few drawbacks: The beds are low and not comfortable. We didn't sleep well there. The walls are rather thin. We heard a snorer next door. They need to use bathmats, so we don't have to use towels on the floor.

This motel is very clean, friendly staff and accomodating to our needs. My husband's family live in Newport and we have always stayed at Pray's when visiting. I will hate to see it go if it ever sells, being selfish I hope it does'nt sell I can always count on getting a room when visiting.

This motel truly is the best deal for your money in the area. It was very cool to see a motel with a “living room” area plus the bedroom. Very clean; simple check in process. The experience here was great.

I just stayed there over the 4th of July weekend. For the money, you can't beat the deal. You get a small sitting room, with a couch and two chairs. a bathroom (with a tub/shower), a short hallway/closet area, and a bedroom. The couch folds out to a bed. A bizarre combo Sink/stove top/refrigerator (no microwave or toaster oven, weird), a 4 cup coffee maker that they give you delicious coffee for every day (you can ask for extra from the housekeeper, THANKS CINDY!! Pack a mug, cream and sugar.) There is a tv, with extended basic cable (has mtv, cnn), bring a radio. The decor is "Rustic". Medium wood paneling, simple furniture. They do a great job of keeping the place CLEAN. I'm a neat freak, and I was very comfortable here. You would be extremely hard pressed to find a place as comfortable and clean anywhere in the area for the price you will pay here. I payed $46 a night. It's right off I-95. the best part, there's a Super Walmart less than 1/2 mile away! They are also very near the ATV trail system. A few of the other guests had 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. The ATV trail system goes for hundreds of miles up there. You can run snowmobiles on it in the winter. Check it out!! Also the area is known for deer hunting and other outdoor sports. I would recommend Pray's to anyone. I go to the area at least once a year to visit friends, and I will definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at this motel a few times. Everytime I am in town and need a room, I stay here because the price is awsome, right in town, walking distance to anything but the best thing about this motel is it is so clean and doesn't have that musky motel smell. It is so cozy like a little apartment. I swear I could live there and be comfortable with it. I feel like I am home when I am there. I can lay on a couch and watch T.V, cook my supper on the stove and then walk down the hall to a bedroom that is off from the livinroom to sleep in a nice, warm, clean bed. It was a good experiance staying there and I will continue to stay there everytime I am in town.
