No Longer a Motel, Apartments now

Stayed there in Aug 2007, Loved it, when I arrived in 2008 Kay was gone, and my rate went up 150.00 for the week because they claimed no record of my reservation.the continential breakfast was gone, but a nazi like marine guy was a bit to pushy. the Motel closed operations after my 2008 stay, now the rooms are rented as apartments to the locals.( per my kids)

Not gay/lesiban friendly

Came in to office to rent a room- WOW!!! My partner and I were treated very poorly- Nazi like gentleman did not want to rent us a room- made it clear it was about our "lifestyle". Never expected this in 2009. Again- WOW.

Are you kidding me?

What happened to Kay? She was aweome! Now there's a creepy Nazi guy and a dork running the place. Dirty, stinky... previous guy said police there twice... my visit too. Wow... this place really went down the tubes.

Police here twice???

The town and setting were perfect but the police were called to the hotel twice while I was there. Other guests reported it was for the owner and his kids. I'll assume he is the big scary bald guy.

We love the Whale Inn at Depoe Bay!!!!

The Inn Keeper was excellent, I felt like I was staying at my mother's house. One of the most enjoyable experiences ever. You have everything in walking distance including the most wonderful view of the ocean. When on the Oregon Coast, stop by the Whale Inn at Depoe Bay....you will love it there. We already scheduled a return trip.

Pirate Treasure Hunt!

This place is the BEST! The manager goes out of her way to make your stay exceptional! Every room is themed, but not over done. The most delicious coffee is right across the street at Pirate Coffee Company! (or you can make it in your own room). The place is clean and welcoming! I can hardly wait for the Pirate Treasure hunt - We'll stay here for THAT too!
