Trollers Lodge, Depoe Bay

My family and I have have stayed at Trollers Lodge 3times and going back again. The place is smal;l but my family and I do not need a big place when we are away from home--all we need is a place for a shower and a place to sleep. It is very clean, polite, and very pet friendly.

There are no bath tubs and the shower is exactly 2'X2'. The bathroom itself is so small that you can wash your hands in the sink while sitting on the toilet. The bathrooms also are damp in nature and towels don't dry. Then when we asked for more we were argued and bickered with. Finally, the male host at the office gave us some clean dry towels but only after getting one last snide remark in, "Didn't know you guys were taking two showers a day!"... And, they are not pet friendly- once you are there. They are rude, snide, and unhappy people. This awful stay cost us over $125.00 night to experience! DON'T GO!

Stayed here with my friend one early spring 2 years past. Owners Rick and Maggie(?) were a nightmare. No skills at all for clients and downright mean, and they overcharge. But, they know what they have, and they keep it clean and available. We are boooking again--my family--for the incredible view and time away. It's worthwhile, to put up with the terse, unfriendly owners who make no pretense to be in it for anything but the money they can make.

A family emergency came up shortly before our trip here. Not only were the owner unhelpful, but they were curt, unfriendly and uncaring in any way. We wanted to work with with them to reschedule and they refused us completely and charged us for the entirety of our intended stay. The only reason we chose this hotel was because they said they were dog friendly. Well it was our dog who had the emergency. He started having seisures the day before we left, and they showed absolutely no sympathy or understanding. They were both (husband and wife) rude, curt, and cruel about the entire situation. I am recommending to everyone that I know who travels to this area (since I live up here we know quite a few) no never stay here or give them business. Obviously they are not pet "friendly", and barely pet "tolerant". If you love your pets and want them to enjoy a vacation with you, this is NOT the place to take them.

beautiful view. clean.friendly managers.have stayed here many times and will again. so convinent to shops in depoe bay. love the coast and love this little motel.
